We dined here in June 2014, arriving early enough on a Sunday evening to get an indoor table by the water. The food is also the standard Chart House fare, and we ordered steaks, prime rib, and a nice red wine. The food was well prepared, but nothing more than I would expect for the price (over $200 for 3).... More

We were taken here by friends, and it was an excellent choice. Delightful evening weather-wise so we sat outside and enjoyed the Potomac. We had the trout and the crabcakes, and both were very good as were the salads. Our server, Calvin, was personable and professional and made it a fun experience.

Just returned from a trip to D.C. and enjoyed the best brunch ever at the Chart House in Alexandria. We were able to take advantage of the weather and their great location with an outdoor table. The brunch included a huge salad bar that nicely supplemented our selection of eggs Benedict and a crab and asparagus omelette. Hint: while not... More

Had dinner a couple of nights ago. I enjoyed the salad bar and the dinner was great. I had the sweet and sour sea bass(wonderful). Our server was very patient (large group) and organized.

The view is nice if you are outside..an overpriced cafeteria tourist trap to much noise and the only thing good was the waitress who was new but tried her best.

My husband and I were on our family vacation and our 24th wedding anniversary was in the middle of it. I wanted to have a nice dinner with my husband to celebrate and our hotel concierge suggested that we come here so I had them book our reservation. When we arrived they had our seats looking out over the river... More

While on vacation visiting my father in Old Town, my boyfriend and I went out for an after-dinner drink and walked down to the river and decided on the Chart House where I'd been many times. (Old Town Alexandria has become very touristy and expensive since we moved here in 1979). I had worked as a bartender in a trendy... More

The service was impecable, the food was delectable and the desert was incredible. Have to say it was pricy, but it does not dissapoint with the quality or quantity of the food.

We stayed in Alexandria on our way for a vacation in Williamsburg, Va. We saw the Chart House and decided we wanted to eat by the water. What a great choice. We were able to be seated outside after a very short wait. It was a beautiful location and a perfect night for outside dining. Our food was amazing. I... More

After carefully arranging a large (about 25) luncheon and conforming to the restaurant's demand to be seated no later than 1100 on a Sunday, food was not served until 1223. Impacting the following church service starting at 1:00. Party included elderly and handicapped and restaurant's elevator was out of service; the party was not so informed until AFTER the event....
