A small cafe with a bar and booths along with limited outdoor seating, it is a noisy place where you feel welcome and right at home. The food is well prepared for such a relaxed place, and worth stopping by for a drink or food.

We were looking for a restaurant we could have a salad and or soup when we walked past this restaurant and came back. We were not disappointed. The waitress gave us samples of the 4 types of chili they serve. My husband selected the Terlingria Red and loved it. I had the Santa Fe Grilled Chicken Salad. It was excellent... More

It's small but they have an upstairs that can accommodate a group of 8. None of us could finish our meals. Of the choices, the 3 Tacos with Texas chili was the best choice and still I couldn't eat them all. Lots of chili dishes - including vegetarian.

Best chili I have ever tasted. Relaxed seating and dining experience. This will be a go to stop next time we are back in Virginia! Yummy!

Good place to grab a burger and a beer. Better lighting could make it look a little brighter, as it's got an air of clean but slightly dingy. But it is quite all right and laid back in there.

In my family we have both a vegetarian and meat lovers. When we crave a hot satisfying meal (especially as cold weather approaches) we had t Hard Times. The vegetarian chili is so good that one of the meat eaters orders that. Please if you ask you can start off with a free chili sampler where you get a taste... More

Had dinner with my wife and kids (ages 12 & 14). A little dive-ish, but I'm glad we stopped here. Waitress was friendly, brought us samples of their chili since we had never been there before. Wife had the veggie burger, said it was alright. Daughter had the Sante Few wrap and liked it. Son had a chicken finger platter... More

Instead of having lunch in a fast food chain, you can choose this place to have a good burger and a beer. If the weather is good, a table outside might be the best option.

We stopped here on our first night in Alexandria. This places name caught our attention so decided to go there. Looked packed at first, but there was lots of space upstairs to sit. So don't be afraid to go in if it looks busy. Waitress was good and attentive. They give you samples of chili, None of us really cared... More

I like chili! I make excellent chili. And this was ok. The service was great. Business was good for them that night, however we had a loud mouth woman behind my booth, who never shut up. Had there been somewhere else to sit, I would have requested so. The samples were a cool idea. But overall, I don't see how... More
