Authentic NOLA joint

Best roumelade sauce ever, good calamari, good po' boys, cold Abita Amber, friendly staff. Louisiana dishes are respectable and these folks have been here for decades, so they're doing lots of stuff right. Always street parking out front, and a much better choice for food before a concert than... read more

In 20 years, this was one of the only times I have been disappointed with the food at RT's. While the mahi in my special was tasty and nicely crusted with andouille sausage, it came on a bed of roasted potatoes that were completely saturated with oil and virtually inedible. Most remained on the plate. The service, as always, was... More

I don't get to the DC area very often, but when I do RT's is a must. Feels like it has been here forever. Interesting menu, prompt & friendly service, and food that is always first class.

Oysters 3 ways excellent. Etoufee was good. Shrimp were small. Location leaves a lot to be desired. It's on a main drag that's in a seedy neighborhood. Check cashing place is next door. Entire place could use a makeover.

Why this restaurant is rated in the top 20, is beyond me. Although the staff were very friendly, the food (crusted Haddock & coated Catfish) both had more layers of crust then fish. We could not taste the fish and the coating was not delicious. I may have ordered the wrong item, but will not go back.

I have frequented RT's many times and every single time, I am in awe at how delicious the food is. Each time I bring someone there for the first time, they are taken back by how excellent the food tastes! This is my favorite spot to go to when I'm in the mood for some Louisiana/cajun cuisine! All entrees are... More

This was my first visit and went there based on a recommendation, confirmed with research on TripAdvisor. The food was great. I had the Oysters Pinque (spelling??), something that I have never eaten, but I would eat it every time I return here. Nine fried oysters coupled with lump crab meat, with an exceptional sauce. My spouse had spicy crawfish... More

My husband and I have frequented RT's over the past year. Enough visits that the waiter knows us and what my husband will order for his entrée since he loves their Shrimp Norman so much. I, however, like to try something different every time. On this visit I had one of the specials for the day - Stuffed Haddock with... More

My brother made reservations for the four of us for lunch on Christmas Eve, but the reservations were unnecessary because it wasn't very crowded. Nevertheless, in Washington it's always better to be prepared. I didn't know much about the restaurant (and still don't), so I can't speak to much beyond the quality of their food, service and cleanliness. My wife... More
