this may not be state-of-the art Vietnamese but it delivers very decent quality and very good value for money. This place is busy but small, so waiting time is not too long as the restaurant targets a rather high turn over. If you are out for an uncomplicated and good Asian dining experience, Caphe Banh Mi delivers well

This small restaurant is off the main street, but is worth finding. It had the best spring rolls I have ever had. From the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall, but the inside decor is trendy.

Very good pho for Alexandria. Friendly staff. Not super crowded (at least on the night I visited). I would definitely return. Everything I had was flavorful, and the staff got me in and out quickly (which is what I was looking for).

...as well as for those that are more experienced with this wonderful cuisine. I say this because my first visit to this cozy but charming eatery was with family members who never had the pleasure of tasting Vietnamese food. Both the initiated and uninitiated came away equally pleased with the offerings and service at Caphe Banh Mi. Particular highlights of... More

This small space off the main drag never really got much business in the previous restaurant iterations that were here. Now with Caphe Banh Mi in place it's almost always full which is a testament to its menu. I'd never eaten pho before and the food's freshness and combination of flavors really won me over. I've also tried the sandwiches... More

Nestled in a small building in Old Town, Caphe Banh Mi is sure to make you come back for more. I stopped by to pick up a sandwich but ended up getting their House Pho. Initially, I thought it tasted just like any other Pho, but once the fresh basil started to cook in the broth, I couldn't get enough.... More

Lucky to be seated immediately today, but well worth it even if there is a line as it generally moves quickly. Pho is delicious as well as everything on the menu. Excellent dining option one block off King St.

Lotus root and shrimp salad!! I will be hunting NYC chasing this tart, sweet dressing on a crunchy bed of lotus root. My son ordered pho and customized it to include eye round, tendon, and fatty brisket. Not bad for an 8 year old. The broth itself, which is the backbone of any pho was rich and tasty. My husband... Lunch at Caphe Banh Mi was perfect for a day of walking around Old Town. Light, very fresh, and delivered quickly, we felt ready to walk some more without feeling like we were hauling around a load. The place is small, so anyone who talks al lot and with volume can dominate the room... but that's no judgement on the food or... I stopped in for a quick Vietnamese lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The food tasted as good as the food my refugee students brought to class in the 1980s.
