Perfect pre-theater fare!

We recently enjoyed a pre-theater bite at Cheesetique! Very close proximity to the Signature Theater in Shirlington. We had several cheese options on our plate to share and the waiter was able to make excellent recommendations about wine pairings!

Great menu and wonderful variations of the traditional grilled cheese. They have a great selection of products, wine, cheese, crackers, spreads, olives, etc. to create a gift basket. Wine selection was good and you can purchase a bottle right then to drink with your meal.

Enjoyed my meal here but I really don't understand why folks go here and buy a 10 dollar grilled cheese when they can purchase the cheese from the counter (which is fantastic and has lots of options) and make it at home for a fraction of the price. I would go here with my girlfriends for a cheeseboard and wine... More

A great cheese shop where you can also have the best adult cheese sandwiches in the world. Other cheese dishes-like simple macaroni & cheese--are a revelation when prepared with good ingredients and excellent cheese.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch while were in the Del Ray area. Since this place was highly recommended on TripAdvisor, we decided to give it a try. We both had the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup. Boy, was it delicious. The grilled cheese was made with white cheddar on a scrumptious non chewy bread that was grilled... More

How can you not like a restaurant whose primary offerings are plates with cheese? While the food is a little on the pricey side, they have a great lunch special with a soup and sandwich for $10. Worth it! And the soup and sandwich were both extremely delicious. They had an extensive menu and it seems like it would be... More

Went there for lunch based upon reviews. Overwhelmed with cheese options but since it was a cold day, we did not eat outside but were seated in the back room. Cozy atmosphere with empty wine bottles lining the walks like a library, dark and "club like". I didn't care for the fried/cooking smells emanating from the kitchen. Maybe I'm overly... More

I don't know what I loved the best about this place -- the cozy ambiance, the awesome cheeses, the whimsical twist on home fare or what. Friends took me to dinner here while visiting the area. The restaurant specializes in mac and cheese, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Normally that would have been disappointing due to not being able to eat... More

Perfect place to get a light, delicious meal that includes cheese in the ingredients - nice selection of wines to accompany your choice of dishes and friendly service. Just a few tables outside at this location but if you can get one on a beautiful day, the experience is even better.

Great cheeses, of course, nice wines and a lovely atmosphere makes Cheesetique a go-to place for a light-isn meal. The grilled pimento cheese sandwich is one of the greatest sandwiches you'll ever have. A nice surprise because it has a lovely pepper kick that makes it special. The meats and cheese boards cannot be beat. The wine selection is broad... More
