Nice atmosphere and good food

Nice restaurant in Old Town Alexandria. Portion sizes are small but food was of good quality. Eating in the main dining room was nice especially with the all glass ceiling. I think this would be a nice place to go for drinks or meeting up with friends.

I really like this place. It has great history, cool decor, and it's one of the best restaurants in town. We went for happy hour food a few weeks ago, and I was blown away at the options at such reasonable prices. I recommend it!

Had the Firehouse Chili followed by an apple cobbler, both very good. Attentive service. Enjoyed the ambience of the covered couryard.

Had dinner at the Columbia Firehouse during a weekend getaway in Alexandria. Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Try the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, they were amazing! We enjoyed it so much we went back the next morning for brunch!

A warm, historic setting. Consistently good quality food at reasonable prices. Nice selection of bourbons and craft beers. The pork chop and hanger steak received good reviews from our group on the most recent visit. For appetizers, consider the charcuterie or the cheese boards. Reservations very important in the evening.

After looking at the menu online I was excited to visit. The taste of the food didn't live up to it's menu description. Food was overpriced for taste and portion sizes.

My family party of 5 have been here in the past for lunch as you can see from my past review. This particular experience was less satisfying than the past. We arrived here around 1:30pm without a reservation. Our table was not ready so we had a round of 3 drinks at the bar for $23.65. Every time I asked... More

This restaurant has lots of competition in the area. Considering factors that were important to me at the time, this place is slightly less than average. The restaurant was crowded and management decided to jam too many people into the space. The room was very noisy, it was difficult to hold a conversation with your table mates -- others might... We came here with a big party and somebody else chose the place so I didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere at Columbia Firehouse is very nice and the food was very good. However, it is very overpriced for what you get. The menu is not really kid friendly. But the biggest thing is while the prices are on... More

Ate a late night snack and drinks after arriving late on flight to Reagan Airport and was staying close downtown and advised by hotel staff to try and was good suggestion. Good selection of bar food late and bartender very friendly and answered many questions about types of liquor and the restaurant . Does serve lunch and dinner, but only... More
