Nice atmosphere, disappointing food

After looking at the menu online I was excited to visit. The taste of the food didn't live up to it's menu description. Food was overpriced for taste and portion sizes.

My family party of 5 have been here in the past for lunch as you can see from my past review. This particular experience was less satisfying than the past. We arrived here around 1:30pm without a reservation. Our table was not ready so we had a round of 3 drinks at the bar for $23.65. Every time I asked... More

This restaurant has lots of competition in the area. Considering factors that were important to me at the time, this place is slightly less than average. The restaurant was crowded and management decided to jam too many people into the space. The room was very noisy, it was difficult to hold a conversation with your table mates -- others might... We came here with a big party and somebody else chose the place so I didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere at Columbia Firehouse is very nice and the food was very good. However, it is very overpriced for what you get. The menu is not really kid friendly. But the biggest thing is while the prices are on... More

Ate a late night snack and drinks after arriving late on flight to Reagan Airport and was staying close downtown and advised by hotel staff to try and was good suggestion. Good selection of bar food late and bartender very friendly and answered many questions about types of liquor and the restaurant . Does serve lunch and dinner, but only... More

The main dining area here has a 30 foot high, glass rounded arch ceiling, and the walls are beautiful old red brick. So when the sun is setting on a nice night, the sky over your head lights up with color. Fantastic. As for the food, it was quite good, although all of the appetizers, sides and salads are all... This is a beautifully reconstructed restaurant from an historic warehouse sans the "Pole" (too dangerous). It is a multi leveled structure with an inviting bar/lounge and a beautiful first floor restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and glass skylights. Spacious booths in the main dining room, The food was quite good and far better that the normal pub fare. The attentive... More

A friend and I came here during Restaurant Week, having made a reservation weeks in advance in anticipation of a busy Friday night in Old Town. It was indeed busy, to the point that the hostesses spent ten minutes figuring out the logistics of seating large walk-in parties that arrived after we did before we were shown to our table.... You wont pay less than 25$ The service was slow and they weren't cleaning the table all the time They were nice to us .. But you just expect better service... More

I visited for brunch and while all of the food was good the portions were small enough that I had to order a side of fries ($7) or I would have left needing to eat again immediately. The omelets come with a small (5-7 cubes) side of breakfast potatoes, but the eggs benedict don't come with so much as a... More
