I went here with my mom during a recent trip to the area and this was recommended by a friend. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I also loved the feel of the restaurant. Very unique being in an old firehouse. I had the shrimp app, which was delicious. I also had the fried chicken and gravy... More

Several locals recommended this restaurant. Very cool interior. Had dinner one night with friends. Cocktails were very good. I had the BBQ special on a Tuesday. Very tasty and good size portion. With the food, drink, and ambiance, we really had a good time. Came back 2 days later for happy hour...wow! First, the prices were great. Second, the drinks... More

Columbia Firehouse is, as the name suggests, a steakhouse made from a converted firehouse, just a few hundred feet off the central King Avenue main city center. It's a charming venue, with a tall atrium-like main dining hall with outdoor garden seating options (when the weather is not sweltering). I ordered the prime rib (as the portion sizes of the... More

We did not have full meals here. We stopped at the bar at around 11pm or so on a weeknight, so I can't speak to the full restaurant experience. They had a nice selection of beer and wines. I had a bottle of pear cider, which was a bit pricey but very good. I ordered a small dish of roasted... More

Second date with this place. Last time was hubby and me. This time our two adult kids joined us. We enjoyed predinner snacks of ham biscuits, cheese puffs, and peanut hummus, which needed some seasoning. Glass of wine from bar was not good enough for the $15 (I asked for okay, but just got double the price. Entrées mixed reviews--fried... More

I have eaten here in the past and have had a great meal - mainly focused on their seafood selections. After a long Sunday with the spouse, we were kind of tired and looking to do a mini "celebration brunch" after having purchased a lot of art that morning. (So my mindset was not as much on the food as... More

A bottle of wine and a great meal! That was the recipe for a personal Big 5-0 celebration for myself and my dear friend, and Columbia Firehouse did not disappoint! What struck us most was the incredible creative quality of the menu items! We shared two appetizers - the braised asparagus and the Warm Vermont Cheddar Gougeres. They were both... More

I had the crab cakes and they were actually crab...no batter filler. Delicious. We also had fried oysters in a 1000 island type dip, which were tasty. The service was ok, the portions small and the prices high. Enjoyed myself, but wouldn't go again.

Don't miss out on good food and drinks at the Columbia Firehouse. It is just off of King Street and has the most interesting wood work over the bar. The food is good. I had the tile fish and it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I will be back soon.

The restaurant is actually in an old firehouse, which provides a really interesting setting. I was there for lunch so didn't have a cocktail, but the drink menu looked unique! My turkey sandwich had the most amazing havarti cheese! I also got the strawberry rhubarb crisp for dessert, which was somewhat disappointing. It was more like strawberry rhubarb soup with... More
