$pectacular Ambiance

We showed up unannounced one Saturday evening and the hostess was able to squeeze us in for an hour. The space is fantastic, tastefully decorated and the small number of guests and intimate rooms are conducive to private conversation (no shouting needed). I loved the 1930s music in the... read more

As you'd expect, this place is chic and substantive. The bartenders have come up with a cocktail list that is original and locally sourced, each crafted with a perfect flavor balance. The intimate ambiance (the staff do a great job of not over-accepting guests) is perfect for a date or small groups. The bartenders are artists doing truly creative work.

If you love solid, old-school craft cocktails and modern, experimental concoctions, this is the place for you. These folks really know how to make a drink the right way. It's old-school, traditional bartending along with some very creative new recipes. I love sitting at the bar and watching the bartender perform their magic. The entire operation -- everyone -- from... More

This is the type of place you bring someone you want to impress because it shows that you're in the know. No flip flops or baseball caps allowed here, and you can't just pop in on the weekend, as most tables are reserved a month out. Darkly lit, intimate, dark wood. You only know its there by the blue light... More

This is an experience. Must make a reservation, even though dinner options only a couple menu items-- you go there for the experience and fun drinks! One of the original

This is a MUST for locals and tourists alike! My fiancé and I had drinks there, and the ambiance really adheres to a time when men always wore suits and cocktails were a respected craft. The cocktails were well balanced with the ratio between alcohol and other ingredients. The cocktails also had an incredible attention to detail and the presentation... More

LOVE this place. If you want to impress your guests make a reservation and bring them here. Let me repeat, MAKE A RESERVATION. This is not just a bar but an experience. Shall I give it away or leave the intrigue. I will tell you a mixologist will make your drinks from fresh ingredients that he just made. This is... More

My first time at PX was shall I say, magical. My boyfriend and I went after a nice dinner, just the two of us. We got ushered in right away, and were placed at a little table in the first room we entered. We really wanted to sit at the bar and our server pleasantly brought us over and introduced... More

We read about PX in an upscale travel magazine. Since it was in our neighborhood we had to try it. First of all, it is difficult to get a booking. We made ours two weeks out (which is the limit) just to get the time we wanted. So obviously we planned our whole night around this event. You can also... More

Never made it in. We arrived with a friend, all dressed very nicely. After we knocked, a gentleman in a polo shirt, khaki shorts and sandals came out to smoke. He said the place was dead. The gatekeeper, who was in a pleather catsuit, informed us that it would be a two hour wait. HA! There are too many wonderful... More
