Excellent!! Great value for lunch!

My parents and I decided to stop here for lunch after Mount Vernon and absolutely loved it! We did the Prix Fixe 3-course meal for $21 each that includes an appetizer, entre and dessert (and seemed to be dinner portions). We ordered the salmon, manicotti and chicken parm and all were fabulous. They... read more

Three of us all had a different 3 course meal offering from the menu and shared the appetizers, main courses and deserts

Wow - after a full-day of sightseeing, treat yourself and your family to a fabulous Italian meal at A La Lucia. We were starving, so we all got the 3-course menu. So many delicious choices! The Burrata with beet was fabulous, as well as the homemade ravioli stuffed with Italian sausage. Desserts included imported Italian cheese plate, Chocolate cake, Gelato.... More

Popular ... a reservation is suggested, especially on weekend nights. Food is good, wine list seems OK.

We thought the whole experience was excellent. My mother and I were seated in the back room decorated with all kinds of plates on the wall. We were early so it was quiet and uncrowded- perhaps it would be loud later since the tables were very close together. We had drinks first and were not rushed to order. We shared... More

We visited in cold weather but found the reception by the staff cool too. It seemed to be a place with a lot of regulars and friends, but not welcoming to newcomers. Some people in Old Town swear by this place, but our dishes ranged from average to poor, and the service was spotty. We both do expense account entertaining... More

We tried this restaurant since we were staying on King Street and it was a relatively short walk from the Monaco Hotel (.5 mile each way). We also took into account its excellent rating on tripadvisor. Overall, I would say the food was pretty good! Not excellent or superb, but pretty good; my girlfriend is Italian, so she knows her... My daughter and I went to a la Lucia to celebrate Mother's Day (her treat!). As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated in a comfy booth. The staff was so warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. [Note: we made reservations via Open Table and I recommend you do the same]. The... More
