The food is good, although the menu is fairly limited. Don't go thinking you'll get many good vegetarian options.
I highly recommend this place for those who want to experience the true middle Eastern Cuisine... I tried dishes that are unique to that region, they all were executed perfectly; kibbe nieh (beef tartar), Arayes (flat bread with meat), and Bahmea (ukra) with lamb shank... Service very good Prices are decent If you are originally from the Middle East and... More
great food and great staff/service -- i eat there at least once a week when I am in Alexandria - i highly recomment it for lunch or dinner -- or for take-out
We tried their appetizer, vegetarian and lentils... It was fresh and delicious!!! Not big portions but taste was wonderful... Great ambiance with Lebanese music... Courteous and professional service... Very affordable...
While having dinner at Layla's for the first time was a result of me being out-voted, it was a pleasant surprise. The service was very attentive-I was never left with an empty glass. For appetizers, we tried the baba ganoush and the spinach pies. Both were good, but not spectacular. I had the mixed grill, which came with lamb, chicken... More

There were few other patrons at the time of our visit. We shared Laylas Special Appetizer Platter $18 which included Hommos, Baba Ghannouj, Grape Leaves, Spinach Pies, Tabouleh and Falafel. It... We ate here the other night after deciding to go out in Old Town last-minute and not being able to get a reservation anywhere we tried. Excellent and very friendly service, they were great with our many requests and wonderful to our toddler. Food was spectacular. Great. For sharing plates.

The electricity was flicking on and off and hot water had been disabled in the rest room, hinting at trouble (we hoped that this was not the only rest room for staff). Service was slow enough to make us impatient--apparently the waitress'... More
Stopped here for lunch and had a great experience. This is a little family owned restaurant that serves Lebanese cuisine. There is a bar and small intimate dinning area. The appetizers are exactly as described and a huge portion with plenty of pita bread. The lunch specials are more than enough food and very flavorful. We had a salad that... More
