Very Good European Brunch

Perched on the corner of King and Washington Streets, Le Pain is a nice place for a relaxing breakfast or lunch. The European ambience, including a large common table along with smaller tables, gives it a touch of sophisticated dining that adds to the enjoyment of a meal. The goat cheese and... read more

I personally like this chain, but I have found others in the DC area that for some reason have better baked goods than this one. Go to the nearby Bittersweet or Bread and Chocolate for better pastries and breads.

I love their avocado toast, coffee, and goat cheese salad. My husband and I have actually never ordered something we didn't like. Service can be slow, but the food makes up for it. This is a perfect spot for brunch and lunch.

Being from out of town, we didn't know where to go to get a good breakfast while we were visiting Alexandria. Le Pain Quotidien was the perfect find! We loved the communal table idea and the menu was perfect. The food was delicious and the service attentive, but not overbearing. We wish we'd found this restaurant earlier in our trip.

Love coming here Sunday mornings and relaxing before the week starts. Food is amazing and staff is always super friendly! Plus it's a great place to grab a quick coffee

If you are a fan of P.Q. you get disappointed at this King's St. location. Staff not aware of what this chain stands for and are slow and sloppy. Too bad.

Le Pain Quotidien has a rustic appeal with delicious and varied offerings. The Belgian chocolate milk was wonderful. I enjoyed the warm goat cheese salad. The other meals ordered by my party were lovely. The service was attentive.

I found the menu a bit disappointing. Some of the ingredients didn't go together. Nothing very suitable for children and try drinking a cup of tea without a handle - a real dissapointment

Very satisfying place for brunch/lunch. It may seem fancy to some, but there is something for everyone on the menu (omelettes and french toast?) Best french toast I have ever tasted is at this place. Their avocado toast is also really delicious, try it! Waitstaff is always friendly. So close to a perfect 5. While not terribly expensive, it is... More

We always get the Cobb Chicken salad with the tea vingearte. Always ask for a 2nd one. The mixed greens are always fresh. Always make sure you ask for bread, which is a good way to try some of the jams and spreads they have. The quality of the fresh baked bread have never been a problem. A good break... More
