Good breakfast

We've been here a couple of times for breakfast, and I really like the breakfast options. Breakfast comes with a salad, which is great for people who like their veggies. The vegetable quiche is tasty, but for some reason the portion is very small and it doesn't come with bread, which seems to come... read more

Coffee is nothing special. I only drink black coffee so I can't rate any of their European style cafe beverages. However, the coffee was just okay. I got a blueberry muffin which was pretty good. Not nearly the best I have ever had although it seemed a little healthier which is always welcomed. Seemed pretty fresh as well.

My friends picked this place because it had something on the menu for everyone and was close to a few friends' hotels. We were excited when a spot was found for everyone despite not having a reservation. However, as the service wore on, we realized that everything was not as it seemed. First, there was a drink order mix up... More

I go to the one in Newport Beach, CA all the time and always get the same thing - a small cappuccino and a plain croissant. So I was disappointed at this location when the cappuccino was lukewarm and not as caffeinated as the ones they make in the CA location. Even the milk was not frothed the same way.... More

I like a good rustic bakery, but this place is a bit too big for its breeches if you ask me. Food was overpriced and nothing special, the waiter was rude, and I was overall underwhelmed. Skip it and go somewhere else for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee.

Just went in at 3 pm for some bread - the basket ($9) - and the bread was stale, very poor quality jam. I would be hard pressed to ever come into this chain again.

Despite its name this is actually an import from the UK, and remains faithful to the concept that started in London - good bread and croissants, communal tables with jars of jam, coffee served in bowls and a laid-back ambience. The staff were friendly but service a little slow - certainly not a fast food place. Good for breakfast or... More

The food is fresh, very tasty, and reasonably priced. The restaurant menu is varied and accommodates all food preferences/allergies. Service is personable but not as prompt as it should be. I will keep going back for the food and the very quiet place on a busy street.

I always dislike when people at a french named place use an accent. The food is expensive but very good. Just prepare yourself for the small sizes. I guess one way they make up for this if they have a very good deal for a coffee and a croissant, I think it like 2 bucks.

The guy manning the cash register and taking orders gave me the distinct impression that he was doing me a huge favor by selling me a cup of coffee and a croissant. He was brusque and unfriendly. The staff seemed unhappy and depressed. Few of the staff seemed able to speak English. The croissant was pretty good, but the coffee... More
