This little place has good coffee and breakfast and doesn't put a whole in your pocketbook. Was surprised they had know grits on the menu.

Good down home cooking - unique and hard working people. Great food, a little bland, but healthy and fresh.

This is an old-style diner that has obviously been in the same location for decades. However, once you go inside the place looks very run-down. I like the old style look and everything but when you have huge rips in the seats and years of dirt built up in the corners and floor tiles, then maybe you should do a... More

On our way home we stopped for a quick lunch. Hamburgers, onion rings, and home cooked veggies were first rate. Nice friendly service. Obviously liked by the locals.

I was passing through town on a family trip. Food was great. I had country ham and eggs. Classic small town breakfast diner with 1950's feel. Waitress was friendly. Pancakes and omelette were good too. Not gourmet, but good food at good prices.

If you are looking for someplace to have breakfast in Abingdon and want to forego the chain establishments, this is the place for you. By no means is this a fancy place. It is reminiscent. of the typical country cafe/diner complete with a table full of nice old men talking farming, tractors, family and America. We were staying at The... More

This is a "throw-back" type restaurant... it feels like you've stepped back into time when you walk in. My wife and I love it! The food is old-school "diner" good, the prices are fair, the service is good, and the food choices are plenty. Enjoy.

This place is clean and friendly. Had the fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, mashed potatoes/gravy and corn muffin. Husband had meatloaf, fried zucchini, mashed potatoes and muffin. Food was good, like diner or home-cooking, especially the tomatoes and zucchini. Decent apple cobbler with ice cream.

Kinda embarrassed to say after living in the region my entire life that we had never eaten at Chick-N-Little! During the busy crowds of The Virginia Highlands Festival, we were looking for somewhere we could eat that was away from the crowds so we decided to stop here. When you walk in, you are greeted with a hello and smile.... More

If I lived closer I'd be a regular! If you like good friendly service and Southern style home made food, this is where you'll find both!
