Really good food!

The restaurant 128 Pecan in Abingdon, VA is worth a trip just for lunch or dinner. This is an outstanding restaurant. Food was excellent and the staff was conscientious. The Classic Cuban sandwich was generous and so tasty. But wow, the deserts were great. Do stop if you are in the area. The... read more

This place is over-rated. I was with a party of four and we each ordered different entrees, none of which tasted special and was overall bland. It seemed as though they were trying to appeal to foodies yet fell short by filling the kitchen with obviously inexperienced cooks.

My sister and I came here for lunch. We split the entrees we got so we could sample more than one meal. We ordered the fish tacos and the chicken sandwich with artichoke spread. They were both fantastic. The homemade fries were delicious, too! Our server was incredibly nice and efficient.

This little hen is right off Main Street and within walking distance of everything downtown. Very much like an Americana Bistro. Friendly staff seated us quickly & were attentive during service. Drinks were tipped off regularly. We ordered soup & sandwiches, which were served fresh in 10 minutes tops. The Tomato Bisque was an absolute star for the meal!!! They... More

We have dined a few times at this restaurant in the past and it never fails to please! I had the Shrimp and Grits and it is the best I have ever eaten! We were there right before Christmas at a very busy time but were seated within 5 minutes. Our waiter was very helpful and continuously monitored our table... More

Wow, 3 of 4 had "PARMESAN CRUSTED TROUT over Caesar Salad" Special. I had The Reuben with side Caesar Salad. There seemed to be something 'special' in/on the Reuben. The trout portions were quite generous and baked to perfection put over the Caesar salad with extremely

We don't get out much; but when we do, it's invariably 128 Pecan. The Caesar salad with blackened salmon is to die for. In fact, I've never tasted anything less than delicious by chef Jack. Highly recommended for any palate.

First of all, there are no reservations accepted, which we were told would not be an issue if we arrived early enough. We arrived Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 for dinner, expecting to be in plenty of time to be seated, eat and make our 7:30 performance at Barter. After spending an unexpected 30 minutes waiting to be seated, we were... More

I picked my husband up from the Tri-Cities airport and we just knew that we'd go to 128 Pecan on our way back home. I enjoyed the black bean soup and ceasar salad and my husband had the special potato soup and oyster tacos. Elizabeth made our visit special (as always) and the Sea Pearl wine was the perfect addition.... More

We were visiting my husband's home town and decided to stop here. He got the potato bacon soup which was creamy and delicious. You could taste each ingredient in it. I had the Cuban sandwich. It was amazing. The only Cuban I've had that was better was ones my Cuban friends have made me, which isn't a fair comparison.
