BBQ turkey was wonderful

Went to the Parks Mill BBQ around 5:45pm had to wait about 20 minutes. The inside is nothing special with only 3 tables inside and lots of picnic tables outside and very casual. You stand in line to order and they call your number to pick it up. The staff was friendly. We ordered a plate to share... read more

I have lived in the area for almost seven years and never tried the place before. It's a ways off the beaten path. I kick myself for not going sooner. The smoked pork BBQ was first rate. Smoked enough to impart a great flavor without drying out the meat. Also had the ribs that where fall off the bone tasty.... More

We had lunch at this beautiful Historic Mill near Abingdon VA. We found this Beautiful restaurant thru the desk at the Holiday Inn Express were we were staying while there in Abingdon for a Family reunion. When we arrived we were greeted by the host and waited on immediately. The atmosphere was perfect and you could smell all the great... More

We have dropped by for lunch after church and the restaurant is always very busy. There are two play yards and a river runs behind the property. Beautiful, relaxing and great food. It's my granddaughter's favorite. She wanted to have her birthday party there and the owners were glad to oblige. Natalie, Emily, Courtney, Lexi, and Briana were very kind... More

This place is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. It is about a twenty-minute drive from downtown Abingdon. It is friendly and informal--grab your BBQ and find a place outside. We sat at a picnic table right next to the river--beautiful. The ribs were great but the pulled pork at the next table looked even... More

Not a good place to eat. The portions are very large and greasy. The mill was interesting. Overall, it looked a little seedy.

I can understand it's frustrating to drive over and find out they are closed. I did it once myself. These days they seem to be open from Friday to Sunday, and I think it was 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You can find their telephone number on various restaurant sites, so if in doubt, call them first. But back to... More

ALL of the information I could find on the internet, on SEVERAL websites, claim that the restaurant is open today, right now. After risking life and limb in a terrible rain storm, traveling from my town to this town, we find that the restaurant is only open on Friday Saturday, and Sunday. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? My only experience has been torture and... More
