Great gem of a place!

Best BBQ in the area and we have frequented them ALL! Quaint place with the outdoor seating next to the creek. Loved it!

We have dropped by for lunch after church and the restaurant is always very busy. There are two play yards and a river runs behind the property. Beautiful, relaxing and great food. It's my granddaughter's favorite. She wanted to have her birthday party there and the owners were glad to oblige. Natalie, Emily, Courtney, Lexi, and Briana were very kind... More

This place is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. It is about a twenty-minute drive from downtown Abingdon. It is friendly and informal--grab your BBQ and find a place outside. We sat at a picnic table right next to the river--beautiful. The ribs were great but the pulled pork at the next table looked even... More

Not a good place to eat. The portions are very large and greasy. The mill was interesting. Overall, it looked a little seedy.

I can understand it's frustrating to drive over and find out they are closed. I did it once myself. These days they seem to be open from Friday to Sunday, and I think it was 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You can find their telephone number on various restaurant sites, so if in doubt, call them first. But back to... More

ALL of the information I could find on the internet, on SEVERAL websites, claim that the restaurant is open today, right now. After risking life and limb in a terrible rain storm, traveling from my town to this town, we find that the restaurant is only open on Friday Saturday, and Sunday. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? My only experience has been torture and... More

I love the beans. They were my meal today. Everything is great though. It's close to town. Love the location.

I arrived for dinner a little early and there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. A young lady took my order, never made eye contact, never smiled, told me to take my ticket and I'd be called when it was ready. The food arrived quickly and the ribs and potato salad were very good. The place is a... More

I have eaten at many BBQ places but parks mill is the best hands down. We look forward to spring coming because we know that's when we can get the best BBQ ever. Dave is an awesome owner and cook. Highly recommend everyone to try it.
