Nice little diner within walking distance of the Martha Washington Inn. Enjoyed a quick soup and sandwich lunch. The vegetable soup was lacking a little in vegetables but good flavor. In this nostalgic setting, I had to have a root beer float...delicious! It's fun seeing all the apothecary memorabilia. If you're a nostalgia nerd (as I am), read the history... More

I thought it was absolutely awesome! Nuff said! First time I'd beent here. My mother, sister, and I decide to stop in after attending a play at the Barter Theatre. We were very impressed. Cannot wait to go back. I am not a sandwich eater, but this is honestly the best sandwich I had ever had. Doubt I could ever... More

Have lunch or dinner in a old Drugstore. Atmosphere is neat and the food was good and the bill was reasonable.

This was our 5th or 6th visit and the sandwiches are consistently good. I am not a fan of the soups, however. I've had both the French onion and vegetable soups and could not get past the overwhelming onion-y taste. I know what you're thinking: "you ordered French onion soup -- what do you expect?" Well, I make my own... More

We selected this based on Trip Advisor reviews; but could not have been more disappointed. Just stopped for lunch and wanted some place for a sandwich and soup that had a little charm. This place is suppose to be historic, but not at all impressive, with very little atmosphere. The sandwiches were dry and bland, the soup was way too... More

We stopped in for a few drinks and dinner before a show at the Barter. We had wanted the steak salad but they were out - no biggie. I opted instead for a grilled chicken salad with their house vinaigrette and my husband got a sandwich. Both were good. We got the brownie with ice cream special dessert and it... More

Such a friendly (Sarah and Jane are such fun servers too!) and memorable place to have lunch in this town. Try the fried bologna sandwiches and don't leave town without their trying their malts, shakes or floats!

This is a great place for lunch. Very popular with locals. I had a sandwich and fries and both were excellent. Informal and reasonable pricing.

A must visit. Unique environment and an eclectic menu that includes both traditional soda shop favorites as well as new age health foods.
