This has to be one of the cutest, most quaint places I've eaten. It's not large and can get crowded quickly. We had lunch one Saturday. I had the best grilled Pimento cheese sandwich. Their French Onion soup was really good, not too salty. My husband and I shared a cookies and cream... read more

Service was great! When my friends and I arrived, there was no booth available so the owner placed us at the bar where we enjoyed watching the waiters preparing ice cream desserts! Later we we moved to a booth and had great service from one of the waitresses. Food was good. The chicken salad is different--a little sweet but I... More

We enjoyed this blast from the past. It was a nice day and we sat on the patio. Our waitress was efficient and the food was good. We went inside to look around and met the owner who gave us the background of the restaurant which is a former pharmacy/soda shop which his father - a pharmacist- had started. It... More

You could hear the waitres upset about a personal problem with someone in the kitchen. Bad attitude towards customers. The food: soup cold, the rest of the food not very good. First visit, will not recommend.

Brings back memories of the 50's and 60's soda shop. This was our second time we've eaten here. The food has always been very good. The reuben is excellent especially with onion rings. The deserts top off the meal.

On our recent trip to Virginia, we stopped downtown to eat lunch and shop. Loved being able to sit outside and enjoyed the food. Service was great and the staff was friendly. We were served quickly, despite the fact that the place was full. We would go back for sure, especially for the pimento and the rootbeer float!

An old drug store in town converted to a small restaurant/soda shop. Had a club on marbled rye with fries. Wife had a french dip with French onion soup. Both were great. Then came the good stuff. .... she had a sundae which she said was great and I had a peanut butter milk shake. ......yummy! Service was great as... More

We've had more than one awful experience at this restaurant and will not return. The food is mediocre at best and the service is unprofessional. I enjoy giving local spots my business but this one doesn't deserve it.

We've eaten here a handful of times, and it's always been pretty good. That is, except for our most recent visit. For starters, we were a table of four and our server insisted on memorizing our order, instead of writing it down. As a former server myself, I know this is just setting yourself up to get the order wrong... More
