Bakery has a great location, and great snack selection, but nothing spectacular stood out. I had a macaroon and a nutella shortbread. They were very average. The macaroon was so cold that I had to eat it after a few hours. It was too hard. The nutella cookie tasted good.

Quacks has been around awhile and has a loyal neighborhood following who love the relaxed atmosphere and the bakery goods. We stopped by several times on this trip to Austin. We were drawn by the atmosphere and the smell of fresh baked goods. We ordered the scones several times, plain and with raisans. Each time, there was a nice sweet... More

We just happened on to this place while in the neighborhood and were in the mood for something sweet. It was in the early afternoon so selection was limited. Their cookies are gigantic and tasty. I got a czech tea cookie that was delicious. Building is run down and small. Staff were helpful, but not very friendly.

We found this bakery by accident on a recent weekend trip. We bought a few things to snack on on our trip back to Dallas. OMG! Everything was wounderful! Loved their huge cookes and gingerbread!

I have been a Quack's customer for years, and it's a nice welcoming place, where you can pick up some baked goods to take somewhere, or settle in for an afternoon of coffee sipping, internet surfing, and people watching. Seating seems to be at a premium. Since moving away from Austin, I don't get to go very often, but the... More

Staff not helpful to customers - no smiles at all. Selection was poor, pastry was dry. I have no idea why others are posting so many positive reviews.

We were recently in Austin, TX and stopped for rolls and coffee cake. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the staff were helpful. It was conveniently located and we were able to walk there in a few minutes from the guest house where we were staying. There was a grocery store and several restaurants nearby.

Bloody big mug of coffee.. definitely get your money's worth. An amazing display of cakes... we only had a couple of muffins and croissants for breakfast but if I could have done (and could afford it) I would have had one of each!

Small, cozy local coffee shop and bakery. The staff was friendly, ordering was quick, coffee and baked items were excellent.

Yes, I think its the best. I was never a big fan of key lime pies. But I tried it here and I loved it. The same is true for my boyfriend. Now, we come here for that slice of heaven and more! By more, I mean that raspberry-chocolate torte cake (and the related ganache chocolate cakes).. the very moist... More
