Coffee, pastries, and desserts to die for!

This place is usually crowded and there's a good reason for that: they offer wonderful coffees, teas, and baked goods. We come here so often we lost count, and we'll be back again. Whether you want breakfast, dessert, or just a little baked something to chase your hunger away, you owe it to... read more

We had eaten dinner at a local eatery and happened upon Quack's. I was ecstatic that they had key lime pie-one of my favorites! The slice was large enough for two and was perfect. The crust was tasty and not overly sweet and the key lime was just right. I bought molasses crinkle cookies to take home. Best molasses cookies... More

This is one bakery that is away from the downtown area. In the middle of mostly residential. We called to see if German Chocolate cake was available for the afternoon on the way into town about three hours out. We were going to surprise our friend with an early birthday cake. They didn't have any but provided they were able... More

Quacks offers all kinds of sweet: cupcakes, unique and ever-changing themed cut-out cookies, pies, cakes, eclairs, and breakfast pastries. I love going here, but often resist the temptation because of my expanding waistline. I wish I was 22; I would go here everyday!

Quack's baked goods are among the better ones in town, with very reasonable pricing, high seasonal variability in products, really cute cookies, and good pies. Service is slow and coffee-focused, there's always a line, and not all staff are created equally.

I am a stickler, a connoiseur, and a snob for chocolate cream pie. First of all, my mom's is the best, and mine is second best. Everyone else is a pretender. Quack's is serious chocolate cream pie. While the filling is different than mine or mom's, it is smooth, rich, creamy, and deliciously chocolate. The crust is strong enough to... More

For a quick (well, you might have to wait a bit to get your) treat, Quack's is great. Their baked goods are lovely. The hostess-imposter of a cupcake is totally delicious and takes a overly sweet, unrefined model and turns it into a rather lovely flavorful experience. Definitely worth a stop if you're in hyde park!

Great bakery goods, nice staff, lots of tables outside (and inside) to linger over a cup of tea or coffee. Always packed with locals, many with their dogs at the outside tables on a sunny day. I picked up a number of things to take back to Dallas with me- my husband loved the gigantic cookies and I liked the... More

Loved the banana bread. Everything else I've tried is great too I always had iced coffee though, and usually a banana bread with it. Towards the end of my stay in Austin I just started buying a whole loaf of banana bread. Also the location is nice. And cool artwork on the wall. It's one of my favourites in Austin.
