We saw Peter Hook & The Light there and the place was super crowded, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. The sound was spot on, the drinks were served quickly and the staff was beyond friendly.

When we found out that a band we liked would be at The Belmont during our trip to Austin, we were keen to attend. But all the reviews that I found for the venue were outdated and not particularly positive. So I feel the need to post a positive review to say - go see a concert here! The outdoor... More

Whenever I am in Austin at some point we typically end up at the Belmont. Good atmosphere, decent drink selection, good service. Not overdone, just a nice place to meet some folks for drinks.

This place is a great place to eat or just go for happy hour. They have music on the outside patio. This was a blast during SXSW last year

We love going to the Belmont when the weather is good because they have both a courtyard and a large rooftop bar area. The food is very good and there's a pretty broad selection to pick from. The only downside is the service can be slow at times and the bar service can be even worse. You just have to... More

When I first walked in the hostess didn't even move from where she was to sit us. We waited for a bit and decided to just seat ourselves since there wasn't any progress being made. Seating is VERY uncomfortable and need some help. If your furniture is falling apart please remove or replace it (this can turn in to an... More

Food gets high mark, ambiance/environment gets medium mark, and service gets bad grade ("The printer is the culprit" to be explained later). Had dinner at the Belmont in mid-April when menu from the then new chef was being rolled out. Food was quite good. Pork chop with 'applejack' brandy reduction / sweet potato mash was very good, but is pricey... More

We had been wanting to try this place for a long time. Great rooftop seating on a gorgeous spring evening. We chose to sit up outside rather than the empty restaurant on a Friday night ( first clue this may not be a great experience). There was a live band, like most places downtown, but very understaffed. Nice waitor, but... More

We went there for a group meeting in the Imperial Room. It was at least 40 degrees in there with cold air blowing the whole time. The experience was really not so good. Service was really slow. They could have used one or two more waiters up there. The bill did not have the gratuity added so all the bills... More

We went to the Belmont for a Friends Birthday Party on 7/24. We had made an reservation for 8:30pm a few days before and when we arrived we were told that our reservation had been moved to 9pm, which no one even called to inform us of the change. We said ok and moved to the patio for some drinks... More
