Got in just before closing, no rushing me in and out, only asked me to complete my order before closing time. Had great conversation with staff and enjoyed the meal very much. I thought price to quality and quantity was reasonable.

This was the worst sushi/sashimi have had in austin. So bad i need ginger to choke it down. the bad part about that was that the ginger tasted like bleach and when I commented, the manager? came to my table and lectured me, telling me I knew nothing about sushi. this review is being written by someone with over 20... This is our first time to try this restaurant. The Japanese hibachi close by our home have closed for business but we are sure glad we found this one.

This is a quiet, informal sushi bar. It's clean, has a separate bar and good seating. The service is good. I had an Austin roll which I really enjoyed, but the other rolls I ordered were pretty pedestrian. Had the house sake, which is advertised at 375ml, but is probably closer to 250ml. It was pleasantly warm and had a... More

We ate at the sushi bar and the sushi man even asked us if there was any fish that we did not like. We had ordered chirachi, which normally has whatever the sushi man wants to use, and so we really appreciated being asked if there was someone that we disliked. The chirachi bowl was beautifully presented, had a ton... More

The waitstaff was very polite and if it weren't for them, we would have been much more disappointed. The food was OK... not that good, and my stomach felt horrible the whole rest of the night. We had the hibachi. I'd definitely recommend trying a different place if you are going for Hibachi. We didn't try their sushi.

My husband and I frequently visit Sushi Japon. Their sushi is pretty good (our favorite roll is called the "misha") but their service is outstanding. The waitresses recognize us and give us 15% off each visit. We've never tried the Habachi grill but I can tell you their sushi is unique and tasty.

I always come to this restaurant when I travel to Austin for work. Super friendly folks...even when you come in right before they close. Authentic great food and a good price for sushi. Get the Hirame (Halibut) Nigiri as it is always awesome here.
