What a lovely building in the historic Second Street District of downtown Austin. Ambience is friendly, family orientated, but late at night the band starts up, and the young set comes in! Food is Texas BBQ, with thoughtful sauces, sides and a fine selection of wines. Good value, and a must for visitors! Try the Brussels Sprouts, old vegetable made... More

If you like Texan BBQ meat but you are seaching for different type of dishes this is the right place for you. You can choose between smoked and grilled meat but anyway the dishes are always particular and not as the usual BBQ. Maybe the quantity is low with respect to the high price.

Yes it's a bit pricey, but it's some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Boar ribs for an app. Split the rib-eye and beef ribs for dinner. CAn't imagine anyone doing it better. Our waitress was excellent. The 512 IPA is very well done.

Can't fault the meat and the cocktails - melting from the bone and amazing flavours. The okra was the highlight of the sides, whereas the mash is more cheese soup, the corn is sauce heavy and the mac and cheese was cheese sauce rather than the real deal. Overall all great taste, but the prices mean it's somewhere you'd save... More

Food is a bit expensive but the decor is awesome and the fact that you get great pork and beef BBQ it is worth it. I also enjoyed the sides. My work associates loved the Mac and cheese.

I’m no connoisseur of BBQ, or much of a carnivore, but I know what I like. I’d been to Lambert’s for a work event and had the chance to sample the full menu. It was so good I had to come back with my husband to have the brisket before we left town. The atmosphere isn’t down home, it’s downtown... More

Went to Lambert's with friends. It is crowded and noisy, but the food makes up for that. I had the hanger steak, it is awesome. A must have. The flavor is mouth watering. Great seasonings and flavored butters. Friends had the brisket and pork chop, all were excellent. A place I definitely would go back to.

Had dinner at the bar, Happy hour is 4-7 and drinks are $2 off with half off the bar menu, can't be beat! I highly recommend the spicy deviled eggs and green chile queso - some of the best I've ever had! The brisket is pretty good, but not melt in your mouth fantastic. I'm from TX, so have pretty... The atmosphere, location, and food are good. But, I've had better in the CenTex area. If you're looking for bbq in the downtown area try La Barbeque orJohn Mueller - within walking distance of Lamberts. I was really disappointed in the prices at Lamberts. Way, way overpriced for bbq. If you want a comprehensive guide to Austin bbq, try this... More

Order the brisket and brussel sprouts! Great service - our server spent a great deal of time describing the items on the menu. We enjoyed the live music coming from upstairs. I tried making a reservation online but nothing was available - when I called, I was able to get a reservation.
