Good BBQ meat.

The food was good. The rib was juicy and the brisket too. Not very generous portions. On a very hot and humid day we were seated on the patio which was hell! It ruined our lunch. They should not have been seating people there. Scorching hot and not a spot of shade. Add to this slow service. Even... read more

We were recommended to visit Lamberts to sample authentic barbecue before we left Austin. It was good enough, but could have been so much better. Perhaps I'm getting a bit long in the tooth, but the very loud music wasn't for me. The air conditioning could have been ramped up though; it was too hot and sticky for us by... More

We had heard many good things about this place via D Magazine and the newspaper. I can't say that the barbecue was any better than what we find at Dickey's or Spring Creek at home and the serving of side were very small. Service was good but didn't like the fact that the only restroom was upstairs. Since I was... More

We were in Austin at a bachelor party and showed up with 7 people on a Friday night. They took our phone number and called us within an hour that we had a table - allowing us to leave and explore and have drinks elsewhere. The atmosphere was awesome and had a really great vibe. It was certainly a fancy... More

We stopped by but it was after lunch and pre dinner. Had some bar food and drinks. The brisket was phenomenal and the side delicious. Had some very well made cocktails. We really enjoyed except maybe felt it was a little too expensive for bar food.

We were here for dinner last night. Had the brisket and it was absolutely delicious. It was the most tender and moist brisket I have had in years. We had dinner at the bar and the service was excellent. Highly recommend it.

Pre planning where I will be eating while traveling is a must, because with Celiac Disease, I require a strict gluten free diet with no cross contamination, to remain symptom free and continue my journey without issues. During my planning stage I called the Lambert’s Downtown Barbeque to confirm that they would be able to accommodate my special dietary needs.... More

This place has great BBQ but do NOT order the steak. It was almost uneatable...tough as shoe leather. Do try the cole slaw it has a light sauce but is wonderful. The brisket is also good...DO NOT order the STEAK!!! Good luck....only one bathroom and it is upstairs. Can get loud...
