I visited at lunch and sat at the bar while waiting for a friend to join. The bartender, Chris, was fantastic and very helpful. They have a solid local beer selection on draft - and Chris was great about helping folks out in selecting the right beers. The BBQ was better than expected - I had the brisket and the... More

Brisket was too dry for my taste, but it had good flavor. Side dishes were good, especially the fried green tomatoes. For the price, I would probably go somewhere else for dry brisket.

Didn't have the Bar-B-Q which we went for, but had the steak on the menu, which was really good. Prepared quite differently. Do not order red wine because they do not have the appropriate glassware. The waiter was great. Very well versed on the menu.

Met friends here for dinner and it was good we had a reservation because even on a Tuesday night it was packed! The space is small (at least downstairs; we didn't go up) and so it's noisy and can be tough to hear if you're trying to have conversations. The food was great--especially the ribs--and the service decent, though more... More

Delightful dinner here on 6/24 with a 6pm dinner reservation. We sat outside in the shaded patio area which also had water spraying/misters. The bib salad and mac and cheese was my dinner. My husband went for the baby back ribs and fried okra. The service was great and the food fantastic. I like the little corn bread muffins to... More

There are plenty of wonderful places to eat in the Austin TX area, but this isn't one of them. I researched on the Internet and found this place to be ranked #2 or #3 in all of Austin. So I thought it ought to be really good. Went there for a late lunch Wednesday. Ordered the 3 meat platter with... More

Interior décor is nice, service ok if a little pretentious and they clearly want you moving on as you are barely putting your cutlery down ! But the so called BBQ was plain bad. Pork ribs had to have meat sawn off and there was precious little of it, flavour was ok but really folks not good. Sides, mac 'n... More

Last night we went to Lamberts in downtown Austin. The place is on the corner of Guadalupe and West 2nd Street, there is street parking but if you cannot find any there are lots of parking structures nearby. There is a great BBQ and grilled menu, they have their own smoker out the back. I ordered Mustard and 'Brown Sugar... More

Stopped by for lunch. No tables were available, very busy. My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered lunch. He had the brisket and I had the pulled pork. It was delicious!!!! Our sides were smoked collard greens, potato salad, slaw and baked beans. All were yummy! They offer 3 kinds of sauce. All were great! Great place... More

I had the 3 meat platter with brisket, ribs and chicken. One of the pieces was really tender. The other two were tougher. The ribs were just ok. The chicken was good. The Mac & cheese was ok.
