The sushi is ok, nothing special. The rolls are WAY too big to eat in one bite, as they are suppose to be eaten so it's difficult to get the taste of all the flavors together. The management is not friendly at all. I know we won't be eating there again.

Have gone here for years and it is always good. Very fresh, melt in your mouth fish. Huge portions - don't go here on a first date or you will embarrass yourself trying to get the pieces in your mouth. Our service was very good. Yes the menu is different than from years past but it is still a consistently... More

We are disappointed with the menu change.  First, we were looking forward to having our favorite rolls and were told that you no longer had them.  So we ordered alternatives.  The rolls had too much rice, little taste, and the new spicey mayo sauce was not good at all.  We actually felt ripped off after paying 80.00 and not being... We love sushi and this place is our favorite in north Austin. I have eaten sushi for 40+ years, including in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. Most of the best sushi bars are owned and operated by Japanese but they are few and far between in this country. We've eaten here probably over 30 times and always... More

I'm a bit biased due to one experience, but I'd still consider the overall review average at best. The experience - we bought a groupon for dinner. We ended up there just after 1pm, baby in tow. They would not honor the groupon, even if we ordered from the dinner menu and paid full price. While I know it says... More

I love the food at Midori! They have great dishes and sushi. Even their miso soup (which I usually find boring) is wonderful. The only problem is the service. You can count on sitting there for a fair bit after arriving. It always seems to be a bit slow. The waitstaff isn't unfriendly, but I wouldn't go there if I... More

Have to try it! They are closed on Sundays so make sure you plan to visit Monday- Saturday. The Sushi platter is a good price during lunch.

It may not have the best outside decor, but the food and tastes inside will totally make up for that. Friendly staff, Let me charge my cell phone while I was there, Thank you Eddie... Nothing but great things to say and food was prepared wonderfully.

Its location in a strip mall in Northwest Austin (at Anderson Mill and 183, right next to the new Gold's Gym) might give the impression that you might find a something less than stellar dining experience at Midori, but that is decidedly not the case. Once you get inside (and after being greeted by a loud and enthusiastic "Erasi Mashi!"... More
