Read the reviews and it was a pretty good slice of pizza. So here I digress...good pizza yes, unique Austin atmosphere of course...a soda and a slice of cheese for 6 bucks no way. Originally...yup you guessed it...from NY so I am a little jaded first from what a pie should be and second a lunch special (given what I... More

YUMMMMM!! Being from Chicago, I never expected to find a pizza that I liked in Texas! Everytime we are on S. Congress, we cannot resist the deliciousness wafting from the door and have to stop in for a slice - even the kids, the pickiest eaters in the family, are excited and finish every bite. I'm a big sausage and... More

Thin crust, perfect crispness with toppings so good it's hard to choose. Perfect balance of sauce and cheese too. The garlic knots are yummy while you wait. And if you have a long wait, it's worth it. People watch out front or hang out on the back patio. Good for a casual date, good for kids and families, pretty much... More

I'm a pizza snob and highly critical of pretenders. Having lived in nyc and spend a lot of time eating pizza in the city, queens and other environs I have my basis of comparison. Home Slice gets very, very close. The perfect crust and sauce. Also, note they serve pizza by the SLICE which is the way you eat pizza... More

and cold beer to boot. Local joint with about 88% hipster dBags all over the place but the PIE is dead on. I don't know what their secret is but they will make you forget all about the usual suspects regarding pizza in a college town...this place does pie, lots of it - and it is BUENO! Not cheap tho...bring... More

For as long as I can remember, Home Slice has been an Austin institution. The Pizza is great- which is half the battle and the atmosphere is pure Austin. It's just a little place- don't expect glamour. But the prices and pizza are excellent. You can chat with other patrons or take your pizza out on the street which is... More

You can buy it by the slice or the whole pizza. Either way it is awesome wood fired thin crust pizza. Good beer selection. Patio out back - pet friendly!

If you are looking for great pizza...don't miss this place. Unfortunately, the word is out and you may have a little time waiting for a table or take out. But it is so worth the wait.

HomeSlice has the best pizza. Period. We don't even look at the menu anymore because we just get what we love: an off menu large pepperoni, with fresh mozzarella and cherry peppers. Yum. The subs are good too and I like the Margherita Pizza as a second option with larger groups.
