Come on people! Beats me what on earth justifies the exceptional reviews for this place. We gave them a try (Spicewood location) based on these reviews and were sorely disappointed. The tacos sounded interesting but didn't deliver. In Austin, it used to be places like this were both unusual and great - I fear they're now becoming just unusual, appealing... More

I was SO excited to go hear after hearing all the rave reviews and Torchy's definitely did not disappoint. The Diplomat taco was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Absolutely incredible. The ship taco was really good, as was the Chili Pork taco. The trailor park was really good, but me and my husband's least... More

The bellhop at our hotel recommended Torchy's. Give that man a tip! The line was out the door and the diners ranged from student-types to laborers to businessmen with their ties tucked in their shirts to protect them from salsa drips. The short wait in line was worth it. We went with green chile pork tacos, ranch hand taco, guacamole... More

went here twice while in town for business. delicious tacos at dirt cheap prices. one issue: the tortillas tend to break and could be a little sturdier. but all in all the ingredients are very fresh and the creativity of the fillings is high. the people are also really nice.

Went to the Guadalupe location near UT while moving my daughter in. Ordered2 b'fast tacos and they were huge! 1 taco is more than enough - and cheap $2/taco. so good we went back again the next day

What incredible salsa, queso, and guacamole! Too full to eat a full meal - but this is real Tex-Mex and worth sitting in the heat to eat. Neat tin roof open building next door with fans and a tv.

Seriously do yourself a favor and eat at Torchy's. We went to the one in the South Congress area at the trailer park eatery, and they were seriously the best tacos we have ever had. And I've eaten my fair share of tacos across multiple states. I'm still dreaming about the Barbacoa. My friend had dessert afterwards and then got... More

The reason that I've given Torchy's a "four star" rating is because, although the quality and taste of the food is worth "six" or "seven stars", everything else is average at best. The tuna taco (not sure what the name of it was) was so great that I even went back for seconds, while my boyfriend went back for more... More

I don't see what the fuss is about. Torchy's is a food truck but they have built up this large open building for dining (which I appreciated) that detracts from their "food truck" image. The decor is interesting inside and there are also picnic tables out front. I was not impressed with the menu and I thought $9 for one... More

When I first heard of Torchy's at the trailer park, being unfamiliar with the Austin area, I was naturally skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a funky, homespun eatery there. Served from a trailer and eating on picnic tables next to a dirt parking lot....something family reunion-esque about this picture. Food was great and service was great as... More
