Fresh ice cream, tons of mix-ins, servers with personality - its a win-win place. I'd recommend it for a family outing or an out of town visitor. Some of the locations get really weird - one time they had the customer stand across the street with their empty cone and the server tossed they scoop of ice cream to them... More

Can't go wrong with a coffee milkshake with a scoop of hot fudge inside! My favorite ice cream in all of Austin!

This is my favorite location of the Amy's Ice Cream shops. Their ice cream is great; you must have the Mexican Vanilla! They did an amazing mix-in with this flavor and Oreos, a salute to the Mexican free-tailed bats that live under the Congress Street Bridge (see what they did there?). Loved the movie trivia questions on the chalkboard, and... More

Their not-so-classic ice cream flavors are very yummy. Also, get the chocolate sprinkles, they're actual chocolate, not just glorified sugar chunks.

I never tire of coming to Amy's. There are always unique flavors and creative ways it is served. Behind the back toss, across the street toss, etc... They are doing their part of keeping Austin creative! And keeping the sweet tooth satisfied!

It was love at first ice cream bite! Amy's always offer different and creative flavors, as well as the usual flavors (belgian chocolate was my top choice). They offer a variety of toppings and play with the ice cream before landing it on your bowl. The staff is attentive and nice.

This is ice cream with an emphasis on cream (and butter). It never melts, even in your arteries. It is extremely rich and sweet. I loathe this ice cream. But I'm partial to gelato and froyo and things that are cold and light and flavorful. The only thing worse than Amy's ice cream is Amy's froyo. Disgusting.

Took our visiting grandchildren there on one of the triple digit temperature days! Small interior, but quaint and eclectic! The staff keep you entertained as you wait in line! They throw the ice cream in the air and then catch it in the cone or cup, which thoroughly entertained us all. We all ordered something different, but all agreed that... More

We'd never been to Amy's, but read it was good. So we found the one on 6th street and were treated to ice cream with a generous sampling showmanship. Our server scooped, and pounded rhythms, and sent our ice cream flying up and around and into cups. He told us ice cream taste better when it's air borne. His final... More

Amy's is a fun, delicous place to go for dessert. The folks are always so nice and the ice cream is delicious. I got the Mexican Vanilla with chocolate peanut butter cups. Fantastic!
