I tried for the very first time Fried Green Tomatoes and they were amazing!! Every time I go I order them. The menu is vast and complete, you have vegan options, gluten free, omelets, eggs, burgers, quesadillas etc. They are very creative and one of my favorite dishes is the Crispy Chicken Benedict with Green Sauce! A scratch made biscuit... More

I went to this location several times while in Austin. Although I got to try quite a few of their options, I would like to try them all. The food was always excellent and the service was always good as well. They are slow at times, but usually during super busy times of the day They have specialty pancakes and... More

Meal was really good. The sweet potato fries; the reason we came were raw! Broke my heart, & at that point I was over Kerbey Lane. Still a great place, just go to another location.

OK, so when you visit Austin, you "gotta go to Kerby Lane." While I generally love "institution" establishments, this one missed the mark. Pros: Great queso, hands down Cons: Service was sporadic and food was slow, even during a non-rush time of day Food was definitely average diner fare. Once was enough. Been there, done that!

Kerby Lane has been an Austin staple for many years, and there’s a number of locations in the area, so there’s always one close to you. Like any business, when the opportunity presents itself, they will move to a better location. This was my first visit to this location on South Lamar. Located in a strip center, it was easy... More

I visited Austin over the weekend and went to the Kerbey Lane Cafe location on South Lamar. I was there before 7AM on a Sunday...which looks to be off-peak as there was only one other customer in their at that hour on the weekend. I had gone to the other local chain of Magnolia Cafe the day before...similar breakfast items... More

My fiance and I were visiting a friend in Austin. He told us that we should visit Kerbey Lane Cafe as it is one of the best breakfast restaurants in Austin. We were not disappointed! We came there at around 11am and the wait was pretty long (we waited about 20 minutes). Once we were seated, our waitress served us... More

I am an old customer of this restaurant in Austin, Texas, but I had an inedible experience last night. I have not sent a meal back at a restaurant in 20 years, but two bites of this miserable slop was enough to ruin my entire evening. I was taking an elderly friend out for a couple of beers and dinner... More

This is our favorite late dinner go-to place. It is near our house and we go there about twice a month. Always when one of us is coming back from the airport late. Often when we are too tired to cook ('cause I am a great cook, we don't eat out much!) The food is good -- parts of the... More

Went here for dinner during the week. Waitress was Barbara. Was very personable. She gave us great suggestions in what to eat. I had the Greek chicken. It is everything and more. It is a lighter way to eat Greek. Chicken was moist. Hummus was flavored perfectly. Do not remove anything from this meal. The cooked spinach, grilled chicken, olives,... More
