When this place first opened, it was the shizzzzzzzzz. It aint no more. Don't misunderstand me. This place is good, but you need to know when to come and realize that it is average at best. Get there just as lunch or dinner is starting up so the food is fresh and hot. Good selection of soups, salads, sushi rolls,... More

This is more of a korean and sushi buffet than a typical chinese buffet. I am not a big fan of both sushi and korean. If you like any of these i would encourage you to visit the place. The place was fairly clean and whatever they have tasted good.

Yes I said it... it is a buffet ... of Japanese / Korean / Chinese cuisine . they make sushi rolls, and some maki, but mainly the sushi is tuna / salmon and white tail... sometime eel, but mainly the run of the mill sushi and rolls. you have a choice of rice, soups, and main courses.... it is adequate...... You can see that at one point someone cared and had a vision for this location. Now it is just sort of sad, dirty, and run down. As for the food, I am the type of person that likes to get a bite of each thing and try it. In the end I found three things that I actually like... More

First time at this location and enjoyed every plate we got. Nice, clean, and dedicated waiter. We will definitely return.

second time at Buffet Palace dispite horrible revies on goole. The only thing i would suggest is to have more squid dishes... The squid salad was good, first time trying it, but since moving to Austing ive been looking for a squid dish with veggies and a brown sauce. Do not recall the name but it was my favorite at... More

This buffet is the only buffet I ever frequent. Mostly because I have no self control when someone hangs the feed bag! With that said enter Buffet Palace. Built in the former Westgate Theatre the place is pretty darn spacious and they need that because there is a LOT of linear feet in this conga line of a buffet. As... More

I love food, good buffets included, even if I have to line up at the trough with strangers. Buffet Palace was recommended by my brother, during a shopping trip to Austin, the food was good, and the variety impressive. I went specifically for the Korean food, and everything I saw looked fresh. Bean sprouts, kimchi, fried rice, seaweed salad, and... More

This is the place to go. Decent sushi, lots of healthy or semi-healthy options, great wings and spinach salad. The only thing that really annoys me is that they make a huge batch of veggie tempura, which quickly goes cold, and then just sits because cold tempura is gross. When I complained, the chef made fresh and then came to... More

As with all other Chinese buffets in town, you will find a very large selection of food. A selection so large, that it is just amazing to see how they manage to sell out of it on a consistent basis. Buffet Palace is definitely a Gluttons get together location. While you see some people eating in a normal manner, you... More
