great breakfast fare

Nice assortment of bagels, different teas, pies with ice cream for an additional $2.50. We shared the mini ham and cheese omelet with queso and salsa on the side as well as a buttermilk pancake and it was all really good. The other customers also seemed to order the home fries and they also had... read more

This is classic Austin, funky , fun and great food. Like a creative dine with something for everyone in your party. When I visited Austin I ate several meals here. In a great location for walking South congress. Eclectic menue and eclectic diners! Many vegetarian and southwest items to savor. Make it a pit stop for any one of your... More

Great food and great portions. My husband couldn't finish the potatoes which may be a first! My omelet was loaded with avocado. The corn cakes are fantastic. We took most of those home for another day's breakfast. If you only have one breakfast in Austin, make it here. You won't be disappointed!

Our group of 3 had both pasta and Mexican food. All was excellent. And the atmosphere was really quaint. The place was a little retro and a little funky and had art for sale on the wall. All employees seemed to be having fun while they worked. A great place to eat.

When we got to Magnolia Cafe there was a long line out the door. We signed up on a clip-board inside and then had a 30 minute wait. It was worth it. Great food, great coffee, great service, and the cool atmosphere I expected of an Austin diner.

Looking for late breakfast so decided to check out the Magnolia. There was a line out the door, so we figured there must be something good inside. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get a table. They had a sign up sheet and then announced your name when ready. Once we got in, the place had a neat... More

I love eating at Magnolia Cafe. The breakfasts are great and you get plenty for your money. It's open 24 hours but I haven't tried their lunches and dinners. I'll have to do that next time I'm in Austin.

The header says it all but I have to insert 200 characters for TripAdvisor to accept this. Definitely get your fill of sixth but don't forget to his south Austin. Much more relaxed and less city busy.

I have never had a breakfast taco so good in my life! It's called the Flanco Taco, which is made with soft tortilla, cheese, fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, and avocado. It was so good, I went home and made it for my family for Christmas morning breakfast. I also had a Gingerbread pancake, very good, and very large, one is... More
