Big portions, I guess, tons of food was handed out. Fine as a lunch option, but the establishment felt too generic, even for a generic taco joint.

Delicious tacos; fast, friendly service; reasonably priced. Perfect stop on the way to work in the morning. And great coffee.

Always a great spot for breakfast! Their breakfast tacos are filled to the max! They are about $1.79 each for two toppings. I got the egg and cheese and it was pretty big. Try the Shack Taco that has everything and its busting out! We took ours to go and they make it pretty hot and fresh. All in all... More

The Shack Taco breakfast taco is by far the best in town. It has a flour tortilla with heaps of eggs, chorizo, potatoes and cheese with sides of salsa to put on yourself. Word of advice, if you're planning on going through the drive thru during breakfast time, give yourself at least an additional 10 minutes. The line typically runs... More

The cheese enchiladas were delicious! Good prices and clean restaurant. Staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. Would visit here again on my next trip to Austin. Great location in downtown Austin.

We had a great meal, great service, and great price! We had the daily special, which was good. The salsas were outstanding - very tasty.

I've been to the Round Rock and Austin locations. Food is okay. On par with fast food like Taco Bell. I think the tacos are just okay. Chicken fajita salad is not good. YUK! The sides are just okay. Chips are okay. Queso takes like it is from a can. Salsa is okay. That's all that Taco Shack offer -... More

The crispy tacos are delicious. The salsa is top-notch. The place is small, clean and pleasant. It is on a back road near down-town so go with a local or use a navigator to find it. Worth the effort for a quick, inexpensive meal.

Walking along Guadalupe you'll see the Taco Shack just past the main drag. Walk up to the counter, order your food and in moments you'll have a yummy Tex-Mex meal at reasonable prices. Ole!
