Quality is going downhill

The food is not as good as it used to be. They keep changing things on the menu. My favorite meal had been the salmon on a cedar plank and now they have changed the salmon to something that is too spicy for me to eat. Portion sizes have gone down and prices have gone up. The onion straws... read more

At first light, this place reminded me of an upscale Sizzler. It has a dark, commercially, themey feel to it. Why am I at a steakhouse, when I seldom eat steaks... client choice always rules out my first choice. First time in it was for lunch and the second time just drinks at the bar. I was happy to see... We dropped by the Texas Land & Cattle Steak House for lunch and had a flavorful time. I had the Steak and Wedge salad and my husband had the Brisket Tacos. My salad was awesome, with the steak done to a juicy medium rare goodness, and my husband's tacos were stuffed with tasty brisket. Of the two, my delicious steak... More

Good memory of visit last year when in the Austin area. Price was reasonable for luncheon menu, but whole experience was not as good as we had remembered. Food okay and service okay ... but nothing special ... just okay.

Not being from the area, I was hoping this was gonna be an excellent Texas steak experience. NOT. I later found out that this is a chain and the food is as good as I would expect from a chain. I started out with the Ranch House Steak Soup. I could get the same from Campbell's. My steak of choice... More

My wife used to frequent this restaurant, but i doubt we'll go back any time soon. the prices appear to have gone up and the quality is lacking at best. i ordered a 12 once ribeye for 23 bucks and my wife ordered a six ounce filet for around the same price. her steak looked fine. mine had almost 6... Five of us visited the Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse at about 19:00 on a weekday evening in early January, 2015. We were quickly greeted and seated by the large fireplace. They were happy to pull two tables together for our small group. Menus were provided as we sat down. Our food sever came by shortly thereafter and asked if... More

Our waiter worked very hard as they were understaffed. The filet was cooked perfectly and a good cut, however the ribeye was thin and grossly over cooked. They were out of ribs, which I have trouble understanding how that happens. Overall this restaurant should be a backup.

This has the feel of a franchise/chain restaurant with the basic meat-and-potato fare. The classic 'wedge' and some grill favorites appear on the menu along with some brisket tacos. A few seafood items and chicken items are also offered. If you are health-conscious you will need to work the menu a bit to find some options. Our waiter was wonderful... More

Amazing meat, very good service, fare price! I'm argentine and my family always asked me if I missed argentine beef...well NOOO! I was in Texas the beef republic! And here you can find a great barbeque grilled with firewood like in Argentina! Visited October 2013
