Stunning sunsets

Ok so it's not the most amazing food you're ever gonna put in your mouth but that's not the reason to go!! This place has epic views and sunsets. Gets crazy crowded and service can get slow. We've found lunch or early dinner that finishes around sunset is the way to go.

With no sunset, The Oasis is just a view of Lake Travis, no romance, food just average. On a bright sunny day, the view might make up for the food but not on a cloudy one. The prices for lunch are very high compared to other restaurants. My lettuce wrap had cheap head lettuce rather than Boston lettuce. Dressing and... More

Sit back, relax and take in this nice romantic setting. Drinks and snacks were good and the service was first rate. The night we were there, there was a country/blues/rock band which added to the overall ambience. The evening was topped off with a spectacular sunset. I'll definitely return.

Does anyone go to The Oasis for the food? Probably not. It's totally average. It's for the view, the sunset, and hanging out on the patio with friends. Everyone has been here once, you've gotta make the trip!

Great margaritas and good food! Servers are attentive and friendly. Every evening at dusk, the umbrellas are taken down so everyone can enjoy the beautiful sunset over Lake Travis. Nice place to have a drink and relax with good conversation.

We had a bad experience here...we were missed while waiting to be seated, we waited about 20 minutes before we noticed 2 couples being seated before us. When we were seated we were seated next to a younger obnoxious crowd who were not taught how to have appropriate behavior in a restaurant. No one did anything to try and keep... More

I guess if you time it right and get there for the sunset you wouldn't be waiting your time unless you had food! Uggghhh Not only was the wait for service excruciatingly painful, the wait wasn't worth it because the food was not very good. The queso runny and tasteless; the Green Chili Burger was not memorable and the Brisket... More

Once, a must go to place, the Oasis is now just a flashy, touristy, overpriced barnacle hanging on to the receding shoreline of Lake Travis. Food is uninspired and mostly tasteless.

Here we truly celebrated the sunny laid-back atmosphere of Austin. Fun, low key and overlooking the lake. A fun upbeat place where u go for the ambiance rather than the food. Food is fine nothing fantastic but that's not the point at the Oasis
