We stopped in after a drive around the lake. The chips with their salsa were good. Everything else, not so much. The view was nice, but the food and service were not worth it.

The menu is simple, probably because they have to be able to serve the 5,000 or so dining capacity, but the meals were good, and you can't beat the views

It's been over a year since I've been to the Oasis. It will be over a century till I will go back. The only and I mean only, thing good here is the view. The service is horrible, the food is even worst (that's if you can get served). The prices are way too high. They screwed my family and... More

Very long wait but you are able to take in the view as you wait. However, the food and service was NOT worth the wait. Seemed very understaffed, we requested things from our server (drink & ketchup) and never received by the time we finished our meal - couldn't ask him again because we didnt see him until it was... Sorry really is complimentary for how the evening went. Don't waste your time or money here.only good part was the guy traveling around making balloon characters. Food was gross and service was non existent. Austin has great places to see and be, nut this is definitely not one of them. This site is making me give this place a rating,... More

We came on a Thursday evening. We did not sit outside as it was windy. Glad that we didn't, cuz it was pouring hard as we finish the meal. We ordered a BBQ brisket flatbread, a fish taco, and a Texas Red fish. The food is alright, nothing to die for. Guess most people come for its scene.

We really enjoying The Oasis although we had an extremely long wait to be seated. After wondering what was causing the delay the hostess said we failed to respond. We were slightly irritated but we were enjoying the view and atmosphere so much that it was alright. The food was good, not great but good. We will be back for... More

Food is awful! People who work here think they are doing you a favor by seating and serving you. The view is nice but you can see the lake (now a puddle) at hundreds of other lookout spots. Most overrated place in Texas. Don't waste your time.

This was my first trip to Texas and I had seen photos of The Oasis before, so I knew I had to stop here to see it for myself. My friend and I had already eaten, so we just ordered drinks and walked around. A band was playing on the third level, so we hung out there and went outside... More

On a recent trip to Austin to visit my Son, we ventured out West of Austin to eat at the Oasis. My Son who lives in Austin, never heard of the Oasis. We checked in and the wait was estimated to be 45 minutes. We did specify first available seating, and, I thing that helped tremendously. It was very crowded... More
