It ain't the old Oasis

It used to be that people would go to the Oasis for the great view of Lake Travis, and the food was really not very good. Then, the place burned down! It has been replaced completely, and the owners apparently got the message that folks want food on par with the view. We went, we sat outside... read more

The Oasis was a real treat! You can have both a great meal and an awesome view! Be sure to take an appetite and your camera. You will want to explore The Oasis inside and out. It is worth the trip if you are visiting anywhere in Texas.

We come here every time we're in town. It's just such an amazing place. Tiered balcony seating outside. Great view of the lake. Soo pretty. Interesting nik-naks everywhere. Good burgers. Big drinks. My son loves the water tower and the sculpture outside.

Went there at 2:00. No wait and available parking. Staff is very friendly and very accommodating as we wanted to change seats. Sad to see the lake so low but still breathtaking views. Will definitely come back.

The Oasis has changed from when I went there years ago. The view and sunsets are still beautiful even with the low lake levels. Attended a wedding and the elevator was out. This was not good for the grandparents (2 were with walkers). Music was too loud but that was the DJ's fault not the venue. The staff was helpful... More

There was a line to put your name in and then the wait was over an hour. We looked at the view and left. OK ... it was Saturday night and everybody wanted to watch the same sunset. So the moral of the story ... don't go on Saturday night at sunset when everybody else wants to watch the same... More

Three of us enjoyed a sunset dinner at this amazing cliff-side restaurant overlooking Lake Travis in Austin. This is the largest restaurant I have seen, with various levels of terraces as well as indoor seating. This is a casual place, with drinks and a mostly TexMex menu. The drinks were refreshing, the food was tasty and the service was friendly.... More

Must see in Texas. Some of the best views and atmosphere in the Lone Star State. Make sure to make it here for sun set over Lake Travis!

Go here to watch the sunset and have a drink, but eat somewhere else. We ordered chicken fajitas and didn't even finish them.
