This is a popular place. Can get crowded but large enough place. Food is a little pricey but I think u r paying for the view. Music is good too. Fun place

Just had drinks and appetizers. The view is the big deal here. The service was excellent and the only downside was a couple of little urchins running amok.

We were a party of four, three orders of fish tacos, and one brisket sandwich. We had to ask for the chips and salsa, but once asked for they were delivered in a timely fashion. We were not told of any "specials" and had to ask. We asked for sweetener which didn't arrive. The food was on the bland side,... More

You don't go to the Oasis for the food, you go for the view. The restaurant is built as a series of terraces to maximize the view, especially at sunset. I recommend checking the sunset time in your weather application and showing up some 30 minutes earlier. There are a number of interesting shops around the restaurant, a concert/party terrace,... The view looking out over Lake Travis is okay but the food is very disappointing. It is like they are not even trying to serve good food anymore. The Big O Burger was more like a Small O Burger. Any fast food burger joint would have it beat. The chicken fajitas were straight out of the freezer section at any... More

I hear how a lot of people like to go to the Oasis because of the view but not for the food. I'd have to say the views are ok especially with the water so low but it's nice to see the sunset. The food is average at best and so is the service. It's interesting how many people still... More

I have been going to The Oasis since 1985, I was heartbroken when it burned down. It is still one of the best views and places for drinks and appetizers in any state.

This is one of the places everyone in Austin takes their out of town guests. The view is fantastic overlooking Lake Travis, the vibe is pure Austin. The food is OK, but it is a must see.

You dont go to Oasis for great food. Although the food is good and so is the service. The spectacular dining experience on the cliff overlooking Lake Travis is awesome. Something you see in West Coast or in Europe. We go there several times a year and cant have enough of it. There are quite a few other things to... More
