Awesome view, not so awesome food.

Service was very slow despite the fact that there were not many full tables, and our waitress seemed extremely out of it and uninterested. It was a very average experience other than the spectacular view.

The Oasis has stunning views of Lake Travis no matter where you are seated outside. The food was god but the service is slow. Be sure not to rush and enjoy the time you have there. The drinks are pretty good so it is a great place to relax and enjoy time with friends or family.

Great view but poor service and food. The oasis sits on a cliff and has a magnificent view. Go during sunset for a real nice picture (be sure to bring sunglasses though). Unfortunately even though the menu was extremely small (entire menu was 1 letter size sheet of paper) they still couldn't execute it well. Food was bland at best... More

Only go for the view because the food and service is not at all what it should be. Menu very minimal, food was cold and tasteless, prices way too high for what you get and service very slow. Lot of good photo ops however. That is all this restaurant had going for it.

Aside from the gorgeous view, everything else was extremely bad. The service was terrible, the food was below average, and it was ridiculously crowded. For a comparison, this is a worse version of Joe T. Garcia's in Ft. Worth.

I enjoy taking friends and family to the Oasis to watch the sunset. I don't go there expecting a fine dining experience. I've never been disappointed with my food selections or service.

The views of Lake Travis are amazing. Food, drinks and service are sub par. Truly a shame that this place couldn't focus more on providing a quality experience.

Let me start by saying the margaritas with Grand Marnier meltdowns are the BEST! The views at sunset are BREATHTAKING! However, the service or should I say the LACK THERE OF was AWFUL! They've done a lot expansion which is great because it minimizes the wait time on a very busy Friday evening. The food was ho-hum, certainly nothing to... More

Felt like we were on the Amalfi Coast of Italy instead of the hill country of Texas. Spectacular views of Lake Travis. Very popular with visitors and locals, food is pretty ordinary, but reasonably priced, service is fast and efficient. The ambiance is much like a European coastal property. Lot of fun, just outside of Austin proper

While The Oasis has a great view of Lake Travis the food is mediocre at best and overpriced for the quality. You are paying for the view. I have been here about 5 times in the years I have lived in Austin and I try to avoid it. I have never really thought much of the service either. It's always... More
