Good flavored smoked brisket cooked for hours so that it had that pink outer ring. Very tender. Beans and potato salad sides and top it off with cobbler and ice cream. It doesn't get more Texas than this. Great location overlooking the lake. Service is very good. I didn't care for the sauce as much as some other places although... More

Our family in Lakeway has shown us some very good restaurants in north and west Austin. The County Line on the Lake is one of them. We got different BBQ platters. All of them tender and very delicious. The service was excellent and helpful for us, as foreigners. We will certainly come back, if we get the chance.

Nice tables for a BBQ joint, even if you sit inside. Next time, we'll sit outside overlooking the lake. We were told that they have the best BBQ beef ribs and bread in Austin. They do. The pork ribs were also excellent.

good food, good service, laid back atmosphere - great selection of food and drinks too! If it's not blistering hot or raining the back deck is cool because you can watch the turtles and fish and ducks. Kids would love it - you can even feed the turtles.

It's a very nice place, especially if you get a table on the outside, looking to the river. The menu has offerings which are ideal to sample many typical Texan dishes. Bread is incredible. Waiters and waitresses are friendly but service is somehow slow. To wait a liitle is no problem when you are enjoying such a view.

On our way back from Lake Travis outside of Austin, we discovered County Line BBQ on the Lake. My daughter and I both ordered the shredded brisket sandwich mixed with homemade BBQ sauce on a homemade bun. The brisket was hot and the bun warm. It was amazing. Absolutely perfect. It was served with delicious homemade potato salad. A great... More

For several years we have enjoyed dining at the County Line on the Lake in Austin. The setting and décor are desirable. Being long standing patrons, we usually order 1/4 lb of lean brisket with a potato salad side for each of us, and a half-loaf of the in-house wheat bread. Once the food arrives we make our own sandwiches.... More

I go to County Line when in Austin with mixed results. This time, I went on a Friday night with a group of 25. It took an hour to get us our food (busy night). Their brisket (2nd cut), pulled pork and pork ribs are so good. Don't waste time on the sausage (I love brauts but they don't sell... More

My fiance's family suggested we visit this establishment and we are very grateful! The homemade bread was to die for, the brisket tacos were sublime and the "lighter" platter of turkey and pork was delicious. We had enough leftover for lunch the next day and it was just as good! The patio/deck overlooks the river and you can purchase food... More

Man you aren't gonna leave hungry! We did the deal where you pick 5 meats and they just keep bringing till you can't eat any more. Everything was excellent!
