Pretty much the only true south indian restaurant in the Austin Metro Areas. They offer a decent lunch buffet, which has lately made it the best restaurant in the chain. The tiffins and north indian entrees are all good, but just not something you would write home about. The service is usually really quick and the staff is very courteous... More

Picked up my food to go while here on a business trip. The host answering was very helpful, I inadvertently ordered something very spicy and he helped me order something a little more mild. He was very friendly when I picked up my food, we had a very pleasant conversation. I ordered the baby eggplant curry (medium spice, but watch... More

This place is the closest you can get to South Indian food in central texas. They make exquisite sambhar, rasam and chutneys. They are known particularly for their dosas. If you feel like simple but filling fod, stop by this place.

While In Austin visiting friends and we decided to hit up the Madras Pavilion. Now I should preface this and state that I'm in NO way a vegetarian in any sense and this place rocked my world! I couldn't remember the names of what we had (we had 4 or 5 different dishes) but every one was better than the... More

under new management now.......the weekend buffet is always very good.......the south indian cooking is fairly authentic for a commercial restaurant standard. you can see the number of old indian parents from south india dining there, which means they approve of it. the only thing i dont like is the presence of two big in-your-face tv screens. not a good ambiance... This is a good restaurant for South Indian Food. The staff and owner are very friendly and all the things we ordered were delicious. The portions are also adequate.

A lot of food and food variety for a reasonable price. The lunch buffet is great. There are dinner specials too.

We sampled Rava Dosa, Mini-idly (14 idlies). Dosa was outstanding! onion and cocnut chutneys tased just about right. Sambhar was also veyr good. This place seems to be under a new management. Staff seem excited. Value for money! We did not try the buffet as we only wanted the Dosa.

This is a nice, casual place with good, authentic vegetarian Indian food and has become one of my "go to" places. The lunch buffet has a wide selection and the dinner courses are quite good with friendly service.

We ate at Madras Pavilion on a Saturday evening, and I think we were the only non-Indian table in the restaurant. We all took that as a good sign, and we were most certainly not disappointed. We ordered the meal for 6 people and immediately starting receiving delicious food, which didn't stop until at least five or six courses had... More
