OK, so part of this was my fault, maybe. I went here just shy of 2:00. I didn't see a sign indicating they closed at 2:00 or I would have opted to go somewhere else. The waiter didn't bother to tell me that it was about closing time either. He asked me what I wanted to drink and I said... More

Oh my goodness is the food here delicious and wonderful! The servers don't understand english very well but they really want to take care of you. The food is fresh and delicious! The ice cream was delicious as well. I will be back!

What a great Xmas night out! We decided to break with the "tradition" of Home for the Holiday(s) and, go out for a culinary adventure. In Austin TX, of course, this could be a problem. But, Taj Palace came through for us! We had Chicken Vindaloo (not too adventurous but, good food!), a curry spinach dish and several appetizers. Plus,... More

I've only gone here at lunch, when they have a buffet, and while I'm not especially a fan of Indian food, the Tandori Chicken and Fried Spinach are to die for! Decent pricing, too.

I had lunch here during my recent stay in Austin. I would definitely come back. This is located in a strip mall next to a thriving Bridge Center. The restaurant is clean and the lunch buffet was surprisingly good. Normally, I don't like buffets. But it was very well organized and the presentation of the buffet was clean and professional.... The best lamb vindaloo I ever had, I had here. I'm not a fan of Buffets. Theirs is okay. I was disappointed that there was no gulab jamun on the buffet for dessert. The naan is good, and they serve you fresh naan if you go for buffet! I liked the pakora and saag paneer. The service is always fast... More

My wife and I head over to Taj Palace once or twice a month for dinner with friends. This is Indian street food, but I say that in a positive way. It's authentic and hits the spot when you have the craving. Don't mistake this for high end, fusion, a gourmet take on Indian fare. That said, the Korma dishes... More

My male colleague and I had the dinner buffet. The food was not warm in temperature, had NO spice, and there were fruit flies flying around the salad bar. I love Indian food and this was by far the worst Indian food I've ever had. They left whole cardamon seeds in the dish so that it nearly cracked my teeth... More
