I've only gone here at lunch, when they have a buffet, and while I'm not especially a fan of Indian food, the Tandori Chicken and Fried Spinach are to die for! Decent pricing, too.
I had lunch here during my recent stay in Austin. I would definitely come back. This is located in a strip mall next to a thriving Bridge Center. The restaurant is clean and the lunch buffet was surprisingly good. Normally, I don't like buffets. But it was very well organized and the presentation of the buffet was clean and professional.... The best lamb vindaloo I ever had, I had here. I'm not a fan of Buffets. Theirs is okay. I was disappointed that there was no gulab jamun on the buffet for dessert. The naan is good, and they serve you fresh naan if you go for buffet! I liked the pakora and saag paneer. The service is always fast... More
The food was great, the service was ok. The buiding is pretty small but there is a great menu and the staff is happy to help. Not bad

The lamb dishes were great, as were the samosas, masala chai, chicken curries and tandoori, and naan. I had forgotten how good their food was after a 20 year hiatus. I've got to go back to Austin often and enjoy the fare at Taj Palace. It's a little hard to find, but well worth the effort.
No like the normal curry and roti from the Carbbiean.
I wanted so much to like TAJ PALACE. The owners are very nice, the environment is fine, and they know how to engage customers through the web and special offers. But after two dinner visits, I feel downtrodden, as the quest for decent Indian in this town is becoming folly. It was really bad, flavorless, badly prepared. Dinner details from... More
