Best outside relaxing Jazz Brunch

On the weekends they have Live Music, Great Food, a Huuuuuge Patio, and a playground and park trails for the kids. Excellent beer, wine selection. Beautiful big tree canopy. Great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday with the family.

Several of the Spanish speaking H-E-B Partners are calling me Mayate. This word means N-----. I hear this word several times a day. Males and females have used this word; they say it loudly because they think that I don’t know what it means. One day an H-E-B Partner (he appears to be black, but he speaks their language) corrected... More

The lunch menu at Central Market is great the salads are a great bargain, and on weekends they have live entertainment. One cant beat the easy laid back atmosphere of this Austin gem. The menu is a simple mix of of sometimes classic gourmet offering and fresh new twists on traditional favorites. Anyone can find something to love, and the... More

We frequent this area for everything in the area. There is too much stuff in Central Market not to go. Weather it's for the wine and cheese in the back, the beer cooler...yes the BEER COOLER. Go in that thing on a 100 degree day and buy some far out beers. But for my tastes getting some quick pizza and... More

Ok, I go to grocery stores on vacation. I like food. So everytime I am in Austin I head for Central Market, much to the chagrin of harried shoppers, I am sure. But I enjoy envying the selections I can't find at home. I find wonderful tidbits to take back to my hotel. The restaurant is good also place to... More

When I visited Austin- what a great city- there were so many things to do and ways to fill your day and night exploring this town. I took advantage of a cooking class that was offered at the market by some famous chefs. Reasonable price with the meal to follow. Markets are great in Austin= yes whole foods on 6th... More

Central Market is about the coolest grocery in Austin (sure Whole Foods may THE coolest but it is way more crowded and $$$). Central Mkt has it all--all the special food choices that make gourmet groceries fun (I have never seen more salt, pepper & chili choices), a delightful food court with a music venue and plenty of organic body... We had an early dinner at Uchiko and crossed the street for a great free concert afterwards. We bought a few bottles of wine, grabbed a table and settled down for a relaxing evening. The toddler with us was completely happy in the playground and our teens loved dancing to the music on the dance floor. Great night!

Central Market has a great selection of the freshest fruits and vegetables along with an extensive meat counter. The restaurant provides a great selection dishes for even the pickiest of eaters. Have a meal and plan your shopping list! As if this wasn't enough, the side patio always has something going on - whether it's music or a bunch of... More

Ladies, you can stay at the mall shopping for shows and getting your nails "did" every other week.... I LOVE this place! The amazing produce, HUGE selection of baked goods, beautiful meats, poultry, and seafood..... Yummmmmmm-o! I spent most of my time (and money) in the bulk section. The Himalayan Pink Salt is such a bargain in bulk and I... More
