Good location

This is a convenient downtown location. I used to go to the Avery Ranch location for happy hours. This time, I went downtown for lunch. It was good, but have to admit, the prices were a little high for lunch. You can get food cheaper there for happy hour.

It has been a few years since I was in Austin and visited Z'Tejas. I won't be back so.......Z Ya. Service was non existent. Stood at the host stand for several minutes before being greeted. I thought perhaps it was seat yourself. Once seated, I waited approx. 5 minutes before a server approached. I had to ask for chips and... More

Their enchiladas were pretty good but I did not enjoy the fajitas. It was ok if you came in super hungry. I did appreciate the tin cup for my cucumber mule. This is probably one of the few Mexican restaurants where they don't serve chips and salsa upon getting seated. OK experience.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to go in. I was dubious when they put us in a back room with a couple of large parties, but we were tired and hungry. We had a fantastic waiter, a splendid ginger who put us at ease. Long story short, the order came with muffins, wonderful, and the food was fresh... More

Stopped here soon after flying into Austin for a quick business trip. The temps were chilly for Austin but they had their propane heaters cranked up for their outdoor patio area so it was great to be outside in January! It's a fusion Tex-Mex place. I had the chile relleno plate which is better than anything I would get at... More

Went here for dinner with family... wonderful food. I had the Chorizo-stuffed Pork Tenderloin which was incredible. The Chorizo sausage was spicy and tender. My husband had the Beef Sirloin Fajitas which were fantastic. The Chicken Fried Chicken and the Crispy Salmon are also very good. I would go here several times a week if I lived in Austin. Cliff,... This would have been an ok dinner if the restaurant were located far away from Texas, say in Canada. But from texmex in Texas one expects more. The table-side guacamole would have been great without the addition of cheese and seeds. The mixed shrimp/chicken fajitas were completely bland (actually I had to struggle to remember what I had). But the... More

Finally went to this place after passing it by for the last couple of years. I was glad I stopped in. The food was excellent and the setting has lots of windows which adds to a cheery feeling though nothing fancy, just simple. My only complaint was their ice tea. They charge $2.99 for it and it was very watered... More

We stepped in at 6pm on New Year's Eve without reservation, but it was no problem. The service was very friendly and quick. My husband had the best Fajitas ever and I had the crispy salmon - awesome. Will return!
