Met a girlfriend here for lunch shortly before Christmas. The interior multi-leveled and multi-roomed, there was actually parking available at lunch and we were both on post Thanksgiving diets. Therefore, I ordered the Achiote Chicken Chopped Salad (iceberg lettuce, avocado, bacon, black beans, Cotija cheese, roasted corn, pepitas, Roma tomatoes, red cabbage with ranch vinaigrette). I stumbled upon this great little place for an early lunch mid-week. I'm not a big Tex-Mex fan but my enchilada lunch special was awesome. The have quite an array of daily lunch specials and the beer selection is respectable. Service was exquisite and the outdoor dining was perfect. Beautiful garden deck and patio seating. I highly recommend. I can't... More

For casual dining in Austin, this is a great experience I highly recommend. The food and drink were excellent and the casual atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. I enjoyed the Wild Mushroom Enchilada, but it was truly hard to chose from the many inviting items on the menu. This was a bit of a walk from downtown, but no... More

So austin! So perfect! Go when Javiar Chapara and Salud are playing. These guys are world class. Check out the Salud website to see their creds. Sit on the deck by the band, smell the wisteria blooming, order street taco, shrimp tostadas and a cocktail. Feel lucky.

My family and I love Z'Tejas. I don't think we've ordered anything that we don't like from here. Their tostado bites, street tacos, and guac are fantastic!!! They also have a pretty good happy hour and Sunday brunch.

My husband and I were at an organized event at z'Tejas in the banquet area, so this may not be typical of how things work in the restaurant. The room was filled to capacity, which is a challenge for any facility. Open bar had good service and my frozen margarita was great. The hot appetizers were delicious; I tasted shrimp... More

My husband and I had a late dinner here while visiting. There are so many choices for Mexican or Southwestern food in Austin and we chose Z'Tejas because it was within walking distance of our rental home. It was the perfect choice! We started with margaritas and the Bottomless Basket of Chips & Salsa which is served with warm cornbread... More
