Went to Stubbs BBQ with a group of friends. Seated quickly near the door. Ordered the two meat plate. Had ribs and brisket. Both were good BBQ. Not outstanding, but pretty good. Beans were unremarkable. Sauce was OK. Stubbs is also a concert venue out back. Nothing was going on when I was there but it would be a fun... More

I was very excited to take my fiancé to this restaurant, but at the end it was a disappointing moment. The food was alright, the service the same and well I wish I could say more but in reality the restaurant was just average, I taste better BBQ in Rudy's, than here. Enough said.

The area surrounding Stubbs is a little sketchy, but the food was great. We had the BBQ chicken, brisket, mac n cheese, and fried okra. A friend had the pecan pie and loved it. Great food!

The bbq was tasty, not the best I've ever had but it was worth it when combined with the Gospel Brunch. The experience with the brunch buffet, bbq and the live music was a great way to start the day.

The ribs were tolerable, the brisket I could not eat and I don't know what the heck is going on with the onion rings! How can you screw up onion rings? The mashed sweet potatoes were good.

The Bar-B-Q at Stubbs wasn't the best I ever had, but it was tasty. WE had a great table that afforded us a clear view of the stage. The numerous bands that played helped us lose track of time and the number of beverages consumed. I would definitely return to Stubbs when I return to Austin.

I tried lunch here with the 2 meat and 2 sides plate with jalapeno cornbread. I had the beef brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was Awesome with dark bark on outside with big smoke ring (pink) with very moist inside. The brisket is a flavor blast and really doesn't need the BBQ sauce but good to have some with... Austin has a high competition for BBQ. Stubs is in the middle and recommended. Good service and nightlife.

Stubb's was recommended as one of "the" places to eat while in Austin. Although it was very busy and noisy, the wait wasn't long and the wait staff was helpful. We enjoyed several BBQ meats but the onion rings were not what I was expecting - too chunky and a different flavour - maybe the deep fry oil was old...... More

STAY AWAY from Stubbs! The WORST experience in Austin thus far. Went to Stubbs Saturday night to see my friends band play and was totally shocked when the downstairs bartender refused to serve my wife because she felt "uncomfortable serving her". It was the first time my wife had ever been to Stubbs and she was not intoxicated or behaving... More
