Good food, great atmosphere

Stayed at the Intercontinental and our first food in Austin was here. Sat at the bar and had a good margarita along with the queso dip which was very good (with pulled pork in it). The mini burgers are the best I have ever had. They were so tender and the buns were so soft. Great prices.

I went to the Roaring Fork with colleagues for a casual business dinner and found it to be a nice, trendy restaurant with a larger than expected footprint. Inside, the restaurant is vibrant and modern, but in a Texas sort of way. The staff is professional and efficient. I really enjoyed my frozen margarita...one of the best I've had. I... More

This was my first time at Roaring Fork. It was a very comfortable and with a beautiful interior full of dark wood. The staff was attentive and very friendly and full of helpful suggestions. The pork slider appetizer was amazing and the chicken nachos were fantastic. But you have to ask for them, as both were off-menu items. This establishment... More

I came here with coworkers for dinner when we were attending an out-of-town conference. It was one of the slightly nicer options that we tried- and well-worth it. I had the strip steak, Mexican street corn and spinach, all of which were cooked just right. It was one of those meals you keep eating even though you don't really have... More

We arrived here late - just before closing and the restaurant was very accommodating. The service was great and the food was delicious! Our server recommended the avocado appetizer which included lightly battered and fried avocado with goat cheese and BBQ pulled pork. Pretty awesome and interesting! The fish tacos were very tasty with grilled mahi, slaw and salsa in... More

We had planned to eat here based on previous reviews and were pleased that it was next to our hotel. We ordered the petit filet and a bottle of red wine; both were superb. The only disappointment was the French fries, which tasted as if the fat in the fryer needed changing, so we left those. I'm glad we did,... More

This was the best meal I had in Austin. We were part of a large group and the servers were great at keeping pace with drink orders and revisions of overcooked steaks. Everyone, whether they had fish, pork or beef was happy with their dish. The place was jam packed and seemed to be a hopping place for business professionals... More

Not cheap, but darned well worth it. One of the best steaks I had in a long time, and top notch service to boot.

Why this place is not advertised as a steak house I have no idea as this was one of the best steaks I have ever had. The description of the steak made me a little hesitant as it included a spray of white truffle oil. This can often be put on to thick but the chef kept it to a... More
