My wife and I had dinner at the bar because the restaurant was very busy and the customers seem to be having a lot of fun. We both had an excellent chicken tortilla soup. The menu had many good choices. The tables in the dining area was covered with white table clothes and the staff is very knowledgeable and attentive.

We have eaten at the Scottsdale Roaring Fork a few times, and were pleased to find there were also two locations when visiting Austin. The service was excellent and attentive, and our waitress had good menu recommendations. I ordered the blackened redfish, my husband had the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, and we shared the green mac n cheese (which is the... More

We visited this restaurant twice in the last year and enjoyed it each time. The ambiance is great and the food delicious. An upscale, elegant atmosphere with great service and good food.

This restaurant is located in the Intercontinental hotel in downtown Austin. Upon our arrival we were greeted at the door and saw a large poster with a photo of a savory looking meat dish. I inquired and was told it was the Lamb chop fondue (an appetizer). We decided to make the evening an "appetizer" fest. We had the lamb... More

We had an off-menu steak special, served a la carte, with two veggie sides. The bone-in ribeye was outstanding. It was perhaps a little past "medium rare", but the server had warned us that they tend to go that way to make sure people are comfortable with their steaks, so we weren't shocked. The spinach side was outstanding. The seasonal... More

Had four of us and we all came to the same consensus. The drinks and wine were done well. The meals however were way over seasoned with a lot of salt on the meats and tons of horseradish in the mashed potatoes...lots of both on both. Service was aloof from the wait staff although the greeters made the right first... More

Liked the fig salad and mussels chorizo. Duck entree was ok, fatty and kind of tasteless. I liked the atmosphere and had a fun time with my wife. Service was very friendly.

Had a later dinner at Roaring Fork on NYE. It was a great place to have cocktails and eat some fun Texas-inspired food. Even for being completely booked the service was very good. Of four rounds of drinks, one took quite some time to arrive at the table, but the others arrived in a timely manner. The food was cooked... More

We were in Austin for a family emergency and were living out of a suitcase and in a hospital room for 4 weeks. We wandered in one afternoon between lunch and dinner hour and felt maybe they'd snub us because we were not dressed properly in our opinion but the manager (?) who seated us said we were fine and... Loved the atmosphere. Roaring fireplace in the entrance was great for having a cocktail while we waited for our table. Dirty martini had fresh stuffed blue cheese olives. Sea Scallops were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was flavorful. I would definitely return. It is also connected to the Intercontinental Hotel which is worth sneaking a peak at.
