Okay, okay...I get it. Saving money is one thing, I get it. But in the restaurant business as in most businesses, it's like an ice sculpture, you shave a little here, a little there. You don't remove an arm. Let me explain. I went in on 10/23/14 and sat by myself next to the kitchen and an awesome waiter waited... More

This Pappaeaux is next door to their hermano Pappasito's Cantina. Both equally excellent food. There was a large lunch crowd there the day I was there. I love their food.

All the Pappas Restaurants are good but the Seafood Kitchen is best. There is usually a line waiting to get in, but before 6pm on weekdays is not too bad. The orders are so generous, I usually order from the Kid/Senior Menu or share a plate with someone else. The prices are high but the food is a real treat.... More

Must admit I probably overdosed on the fried seafood platter but at least once a year I will take advantage of doing so as I don't get this type of Southern fried seafood in Europe! Really great meal and staff and service were exceptional. My arteries thank you!!<ggg>

The highlights: 1. Environment. Dark wood and dim light, but not dingy. Remains warm and cozy. 2. The food. The jumbo shrimp brochette (butterflied, stuffed with cheese and jalapeno, wrapped with bacon and then grilled) is my go to meal. It always delivers. Their dirty rice or red beans and rice are always delicious as well. My wife loves their... More

Rich cooking sometimes overwhelms the fish and like most chain restaurants cheese overload can ruin your dish. There are some nice dishes on there and service is pretty good. Has room for large groups.

Enjoyed a great meal at Pappadeaux with TXDAR friends after fall forum. Get the Tilapia! They both did and I was envious. Bonus: Texas Longhorns playing on giant TV screen but they were losing so badly to BYU we gave up early.

I took the family for an end of summer treat. We shared the cold water oysters and they tasted great. Followed that up with the Alaskan King crab and had to order two servings. We had the papalicious I think they call it and it was tasty. Frozen hurricane with an extra shot of rum on top. Finished it up... More
