Great food, been there 2 times, but way too expensive! I'm from the N.Y. area, and these prices are way out of line even for N.Y!!!! But if you have a special occasion, and want waiters attending to you, and everything ale carte, then you'll have to pay for the ambience, and all that entails. My advice is to go... More

Had a business meeting that included my VP who was in-town from Cali. This is one of his favorite places to dine. The food is always excellent, along with a large variety of cocktails/wine to choose from.

Eddie V's added rose petals, champagne and dessert to an excellent meal. They acknowledged our anniversary without being obnoxious.

More crowded than one might expect. The food is good, the service a touch overbearing. I was favorably impressed. Perhaps the best seafood in mid-Texas. But this is mid-Texas.

A group of 8 of us enjoyed an excellent meal and Eddie V's. The restaurant was busy and bustling with activity. Our waiter, Jeff, was friendly and knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. Many at the table ordered steak but I opted for the house special snapper (Jeff's recommendation). I was not disappointed. The main course dish as... More

Running into Charlie Strong and his family (Texas Head Football Coach) on their way out as we were coming in... Nice for the kids to see Coach Strong. For me too, since he was our LB's coach at Florida in early 90's. All that aside. Food seems to not miss here. In the 15 years in Austin, the only mishaps... More

I adore the seafood - its always fresh. Skip the steak. My companion ordered his medium rare and it came out exremely rare. He asked for it to be done just a tad more and it was a burned mess. If you can, go to the bar for the happy hour - great mmusic, good value for the appetisers.
