Great place for a special dinner. We have celebrated St. Valentines at Eddie’s twice now. You’ll need to make reservations in advance for special days, such as St. Valentines. But you won’t be disappointed. The portions are very large so we usually get two appetizers and split an entre of fish. Their fish is very good and not farm raised.... More

Eddie V's downtown Austin is not just your average surf-and-turf restaurant. It's an elegant restaurant with great food and jazz. There are two dining areas, one around the bar and the jazz podium with high tables and stools, and the other a double size elegant white table cloth dining room with dark wood and soft lighting. There is much elegancehere,... More

I ate twice at Eddie V's during a business convention,, once as part of a 30-40 person group and once with a friend. The group dinner was handled very well and all food was served warm. The filet was very tender and flavorful although slightly over-peppered. The dinner with my friend was very enjoyable. The server was attentive but allowed... More

One thing I can tell you about Eddie V's if you don't love the food you have issues. The place was recently remodeled and it looks great. Beautiful wood, great attentive wait staff, amazing food. We had the tower of shellfish and it was terrific. The only negative was I should have stuck with seafood but I ordered the tomahawk... More

You will spend $$$$ here in its a la carte menu, but the food is remarkably good and the service is excellent. The Copper River Salmon was very nice; the side of the mac n Cheese was excellent; the snap peas and portabello mushrooms was even better and the asparagus was very good. The wine selection is outstanding and I... More

The service, food and atmosphere is consistently good and Eddie V's has a great happy hour menu. Whenever we can't decide where to go in Austin because there are so many choices we end up at Eddie V's. We know everything will be perfect and we can listen to a little jazz at the bar on Sunday and share a... More

The food was AMAZING, but pricey. We went for dinner in the lounge with free jazz. Our server was pretty stiff and abrupt. It was very dark and our server did not attempt to help us, but neighboring servers provided flashlights. He was efficient just not personable.

Decided to eat dinner at this place on 4th of July while visiting Austin for a wedding on that weekend. After getting the usual greeting from one of the waiters, I asked him to give me a minute or two to decide my meal. Well, it's like the waiters just forgot about me. It took about 15-20 minutes to finally... More

Nice wine selection. The steak tartar was absolutely excellent. The scallops were fantastic. Good service. Wife had an excellent salad, but I'd recommend skipping that and going for their fantastic bisque. Nice live band in the lounge - not too loud. They were busy but we were able to get a late reservation that same day. Casual dress. A bit... More

My wife and I spent a weekend in Austin for our 5 year anniversary, and I wanted us to have a really nice dinner the night of our anniversary on Friday, 6/20. After reading some trip advisor reviews Eddie V's seemed like the best option since it was downtown and served steak and seafood. I made reservations a few days... More
