We made our reservation for the lounge in order to enjoy the live jazz and more active vibe. The lobster bisque was fantastic. The crab cake was another hit. I'd say the seafood is incredible, while the steaks were just OK, especially given the high prices.

Had the opportunity to recently visit during a business trip. Had a house cab and the salmon dish and brussel sprouts. Excellent meal! Our waiter was extremely courteous and professional. He made it an excellent dining experience even though we sat in the bar area. Definitely a restaurant to try if you're in the downtown area. And convenient to the... More

Eddie V's is located in the heart of downtown Austin, an easy walk from many of the major hotels and convention center. Known for great seafood, don't overlook the steaks which are spot on. The atmosphere is friendly and high end, the service impeccable and the food extremely good. This is not a "WOW" foodie restaurant. This is a restaurant... More

Visit Eddie V's frequently as a great option for happy hour, a business dinner or elegant romantic evening. Eddie V's consistently delivers great cocktails and food with the friendly, attentive service you would expect from a high-end restaurant. The steaks are excellent, but the fresh, creative seafood is where they truly shine. A special call-out to Brandon and the bar... More

My husband and I celebrated our 1st year anniversary at Eddie V's. It was awesome. The restaurant decorated our table and we received a free glass of champagne and free dessert. The food was amazing. The waitress we had was such a great person, super nice and very knowledgeable on the menu options. i think her name was Juanita. She... More

I have eaten at 90% of the comparably priced restaurants in Austin, and usually about halfway through the meal my wife says "We should have just gone to Eddie V's." I agree - it is fantastic. I believe they have the best service in town; it's the closest restaurant to a high-end New Orleans experience that you'll have here in... More

Eddie V's was the location selected by the bride and groom to gather with close family and friends to celebrate the marriage. Due to season, I suppose there was a delay in seating even thought reservations for the wedding dinner was made in advance. The food was excellent but wait time was much too long, 48 minutes to be exact!... More

My wife and I decided to have dinner here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was the perfect choice. The atmosphere was perfect for us, a jazz band played romantic songs. The wine selection was nice. Had some oysters on the half shell that were the best I ever had!! Every course down to desert was delish.. Very nice... More

My husband and I had dinner here last night after reading so many positive online reviews. We were not disappointed! We were promptly seated, brought water, and the tablecloth had rose petals on it for our anniversary. We received a delicious chocolate cake and champagne on the house for our anniversary. I ordered the 8 oz filet cooked medium rare.... More

We kicked off the new 2015 year with a fabulous evening enjoying entertaining jazz and blues being played in the lounge along with cocktails and delicious fresh seafood. Truly one of the best dining experiences we've had in Austin. Great music great service great food. A hit for sure.
