Some great BBQ which Austin is known for. A lot of good options here, from ribs and brisket to some interesting sides. I didn't care much for the potato salad, as it seems to be almost german style. No AC, just fans. But, full of charm and character that you expect from some place in Austin. Parking isn't horrible for... More

Unpretentious, but excellent bbq with a good list of sides and meat to choose from. I had the pork loin, one of my friends had the brisket, and two others had the beef ribs (huge!). Very good food, left believing we had the best bbq in Texas.

The BBQ is really good! The sauce is sweeter and the "hot" BBQ sauce adds some cayenne pepper. I enjoyed the pork loin and the brisket. The corn on the cob was pretty good, too. The folks taking orders were pleasant and quick, but the young lady cashiering was uncertain how to banter with customers.

Iron Works is an Austin tradition and is good enough to attract a long line of patrons lined up out front even on hot days. The baked potato with BBQ brisket is my fav here. Seat yourself in a spot with a view and kick back with old friends. This is not a fancy place where you will find a... More

This place is garbage. They staff act like their doing you a huge favor just letting you in the door. They won't let you get a combo plate, and if you ask for one, they'll look at you like they're annoyed you even dared to step into their sacred building. Their meat is dry, their staff is openly hostile. My... More

Fun atmosphere and good food. This is what hanging out in Texas, especially Austin, is all about. It's a good time with good food so bring a few good friends and enjoy. We had both beef and pork ribs. The beef were ginormous and the pork were petite and oh, so, tender. Nicely seasoned. Easy walk to all the downtown... More

The food here is fantastic! Their menu is the standard BBQ fare but the flavor far exceeds standard. I had the brisket which was delicious and the cream corn which I highly recommend. The atmosphere fits its southern BBQ vibe. If you like BBQ you will not be disappointed!

I visited iron works a couple of times about ten years ago and was always pleased with the quality of the food. This time was just so-so. I had the sampler platter, which included brisket, sausage, and one large rib. The brisket and rib meat were ok and flavor was ok. However, the sausage was very dry and not good.... More

I ate here during SXSW. The line was out on the street, but went surprisingly fast. I had the sample platter because I seriously couldn't settle on just one thing. The sausage and beef ribs stood out the most. They were absolutely delicious! I wish I had ordered extra sausage. The sides were sub-par, but expected. They are the typical... More
