It's all about the food - and it's good!

I went here twice over 4 days. It's VERY good. It's all about the food, nothing fancy. Wait in line, paper plates, and pull your drink from the cooler. Pulled pork is meh but the Brisket, Ribs, and cream corn are WOW!

My wife and I had a great time here. So much to chose from. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with their spicy bbq sauce added to it. This place was recommended by the front desk at our hotel. You can even purchase their bbq sauce to take home with you.

Ordered the pulled pork plate. It was awful...overly cooked and smothered with subpar BBQ sauce. The Vegetables didn't fair much better. The corn was undercooked and the green beans were abysmal. If this qualifies as good BBQ in Austin, the city has much to apologize for.

Crazy good Texas BBQ. Authentic atmosphere, great waterfront view. Go for the food and check out all of the famous people who have also visited! YUM!

As soon as I saw the building I knew I wanted to eat there. Located right by the Austin Convention Center this really was an old iron factory. Now it's a very very casual and very very very good barbecue restaurant. Don't go there if you want fancy. Do go there if you want some really excellent brisket. Don't be... More

It may look a little shady from the outside but the food is delicious and there are enough tables for large groups.

This is a great place to eat like a local. The BBQ is pure Texas and the price allows you to sample many of what they have to offer. I had great brisket, sausage, and a rib plate that came with two sides. Works for pick-up or dine in. Nothing fancy but that's good because you may get some tasty... More

We visited with a large group of people in connection with a wedding, probably 50 or so, coming and going at different times. The restaurant accommodated us easily and served very good food. All were complimentary of the experience and the food!

Walking distance from the convention center, there was a line but it moved at a good pace. BBQ was good. Iced bottled beer and soda. Service was hopping and on top of a full restaurant. I will certainly eat here again.

We visited Iron Works because we wanted good BBQ close to our hotel and this place didn't disappoint. It's small but indoors which was good because it rained all weekend long. I had the brisket, creamed corn and green beans and they were all pretty amazing.
