Mouth Watering

This was my first visit to Iron Works BBQ. It's in a rustic building with much atmosphere right next to the convention center. I ordered the plate lunch with beef brisket & pork ribs, mac & cheese, and pinto beans. It comes with a couple rings of white onion, a slice of white bread, and a stack of... read more

We went here to meet some old friends that said it was a great place for BBQ. I was not sure about the place when I parked, but the taste of the BBQ was amazing!! I even bought some to bring back on the plane to my husband! Great food, quick service and great atmosphere.

Here for Motogp weekend and went along Saturday afternoon. Great, old, funky building with self service. Simple choices. Superb BBQ and sides. Great experience. Go hungry. Parking on site. Definitely be back.

I had heard that place is super good, but it is good at best IMO. I like the deco, and the aroma is nice, but looks and smell do not make a restaurant, let alone in Texas. Keep looking, there are other better places to eat. Pass on the corn on the cob, it is not good. Cole slaw is... More

We are visiting Austin for the MotoGP we were told to have BBQ by the hotel so we tried the Ironworks. The place is a self service dinner with a great menu all dishes are reasonably priced. The food was great. We had the special which was the pulled pork and two sides, an excellent choice. The only negative was... More

Great place to got to get a huge rack of ribs and good Texas BBQ. It is in a 100 year old Iron works that just seems to make the food taste better

We stopped here after the 2015 Texas Relays. Since I was in Texas naturally I had to try the brisket. (I did consider for a moment the pulled pork special.) The brisket was so moist, had nice flavoring and just melted. The restaurant was very efficient and if I return to Austin... this is a spot I will be returning... More

I stopped in Iron Works on a recent trip to Austin in search of great BBQ. I read a few reviews and decided to give it a shot. The place has a cool, bbq vibe and service really good. The food itself is good at best and pricey for the amount of food you get. Overall, ok but will continue... More

Their are some awesome places to have barbecues in Austin and this is one of the best! The moment that you enter Iron Works the fantastic smell will make your mouth water! We had the smoked Turkey and it was unbelievable!

An old building with well worn floors and tons of charm houses this eatery. Pulled Pork platter was excellent and the beer was cold. The long line moves quickly and there are lots of places to sit. If you are nearby, don't miss this Texas icon!
