Went to Fonda San Miguel with friends earlier this week and were stunned at the beauty of the facility and exceptional attention to decorating detail. If only the food, service and value kept pace! The menu is limited, much of the food is over prepared, the waiter seemed put out and it's all pretty expensive for Mexican fare. What a... More

Free parking! A beautiful place but I feel limited menu. Drinks good. The pork dish was really no flavor and the shrimp were overdone with that iodine taste. Not happy.

This was the 7th time we have eaten at Fonda. The first 3 were good, not exceptional. The last 4 were Horrible! We kept going back thinking our complaints to the MOD would have an effect on the wIt staff, but I was wrong! The wait staff has proceeded to get worse each visit. We have visited in Austin the... I know that everyone seems to love this place, but I have been there no fewer than 4 times and have tried something different each time, hoping to see what all the fuss is about. Yes, the food is good, but the prices are high and there's usually a wait, so I won't be back. The wait staff is always... More

I whole heartily recommend Fonda San Miguel. Our dinner was amazingly delicious, prices were in line with the quality of the food, and the service was excellent. My "rellenos" was a large poblano pepper that was stuffed with shredded beef, almonds, and raisins. It was soooo good. My husband's and our companions choices were equally excellent. Our server was prompt,... More

We were greeted by a friendly valet, twinkling blue lights in the trees and a beautiful fountain! Inside, there is a lovely atrium and welcoming hostesses. Our meal was fabulous! The chips and queso are actually warm tortillas and a thick stringy yummy cheese like flameado. We tried the chicken tortilla soup which was excellent. Our entree was a lightly... More

OMG ! As soon as I saw the building I felt right in Guadalajara, Mex. I opened the door and I liked it even more... my Italian friend and I went directly to the bar and seat down to have a nice "Chelada" ( just like in Mexico) then we ordered a Tortilla soup, Cochinita Pibil and Blue corn quesadillas,...
