Wonderful evening

First time we'd ever been to a Trulucks. We were very impressed from start to finish - it's a class act place. From the personal greeting by Andrew as you enter, to Eddie at the bar. Great live music and ambience. Enjoyed a cocktail during happy hour before being seated for a sumptuous dinner... read more

We came here after a conference to have a late dinner. There was a pianist and singer playing right by the front when you came in, which was a nice start to our experience. We had a really nice meal. Mason, our waiter was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive. He recommended the miso glazed Seabass for me, and it was... More

I had dinner at Truluck's in Austin Downtown, TX on Feb.12015. I looked at the wine list and decided I didn't want to pay more than $11.00 a glass. I ordered a glass of "House" chardenay. It was pretty good so I had one more. When the bill came, each glass of "House" wine cost $20.00!!! That is $40.00 more... More

We had the best meal in Austin. Incredible crab claws, lobster mac and cheese, sea bass and the filet special with crab was excellent. Great waiter..Austin...and beautiful desserts for an 80th birthday celebration.

First time at a Truluck's. Happy hour was good but my oysters on the half-shell were tasteless. Strange because a week or so later we ate at the one at the Arboretum and they were extremely salty! Husband had the oysters Rockefeller and said it was really good. They served the most amazing, warm bread at our table and I... More

After an hour long wait to go 12 blocks, we were tended to very nicely at Trulucks. Such gracious treatment by the staff downstairs (wonderful piano player!!!) and it continued upstairs. The new (to us) seating with wonderful views of Austin from our booth was so comfortable. Our waiter suggested the blue point crab appetizers and wine which were so... More

Best steak I've had in my life. The service was unparalleled. And such a cool view from the upstairs dining area. Simply put, YOU WILL LOVE IT. Top of my list for an incredible date and worth every penny.

Has a business dinner for 22. Service has fantastic, especially for such a large group. The menu had been pre-selected for us. Filet was over well-done which was a big disappointment. Probably a great place for smaller groups. The new bar area is wonderful and the love piano entertainment is wonderful.

I met with a potential business partner there on new years eve, we ended up working out an agreement and were so excited about the new business. He tries to sneak away and order their most expensive scotch to celebrate and gets refused service, a manager said he was drunk, in turn our whole table wasn't allowed to order any... More

We wanted to take our daughter out for her first birthday, and while Truluck's is one of our favorites, were concerned it might not be welcoming to small children. The experience turned out quite the opposite, as we called in advance to see if it was okay, and once welcomed, the hospitality was 5 star. Despite having few menu items... More
