Class Act and fabulous food!

We went to Truluck's as it started to rain during a very, very busy weekend in Austin (graduation and Memorial Day weekend). We found a table in the bar area that offered the full menu as well. We had no reservations and the restaurant was packed. We sat, ordered drinks and some hors d;oevres... read more

We had dinner on a Saturday night and sat on the second floor. This is great for good conversation. Sit in the bar area for a hipper, but noisier, experience. The service was great as was the food. The sea bass was some of the best I have had. We are from Austin and this is one of our go-to... More

Staff was very personable and attentive. Great meal and drinks. A bit pricey but worth it. Even received a phone call the following day to make sure we had enjoyed our meal.

We visited the bar/lounge during happy hour and had the warm goat cheese appetizer -- it was awesome. Had dinner upstairs and it was very good. Food at both were excellent, but the friendly staff is what really makes this place stand out. After we experienced both bar and dining room, we decided that next time we would spend more,... More

Food and service were top notch. I had the crunchy trout and Caesar Salad, Both were very good. The guys at the bar know how to make very good drinks too. Nice bar area too. Atmosphere is first rate. Go and have dinner here with no worries.

The cocktails were prepared well, the music in the bar was very good. The Sonoma salad was excellent. Their take on cioppino was not pleasing. The king crab legs were good, as were the garlic mashed potatoes. Good service and beautiful dining rooms, all with city views. We were surprised that prices were not higher. Very good value.

Never been to a Trulucks before but decided to check out their happy hour held M-F 4:30 pm-6:30pm.Half price cocktails and the appetizers are priced well for a steakhouse. The appetizer menu is limited, mostly seafood items. I had calamari, it has sliced veges w/ a soy sauce/ sesame oil sauce. I also had a cocktail. They were alright. I... More

Having been to the Truluck's in Naples, FL and La Jolla, CA, my husband and I wanted to check out the downtown Austin Truluck's. We booked our room thru OpenTable and had a wonderful table with a view of downtown Austin. When we got to the restaurant they had 2 singers in the bar downstairs that were really good. They... As always, a wonderful dining experience on the occasion of my birthday celebration. The food, as always, was a delight to our taste buds. The South African lobster was to die for. The service staff were most attentive and charming. We particularly love the revamped downtown location. It has great ambiance and our table overlooking Colorado Street and the city... More

My wife and I are in town for a concert and wanted to enjoy a quiet, nice dinner. The reviews on TA were excellent so I called at 8:45 and got a prime reservation at 9. We were basically greeted at the door by name and escorted to a table on the second floor with a beautiful view of the... More
