We've been here twice for Sunday brunch, most recently last weekend and we love it. Brunch is a buffet, but don't let that turn you off. The choices are so expansive that they might as well be limitless and they are all delicious. It is impossible to taste everything on this buffet. Green Pastures serves a "Milk Punch" , included... We walked in to a nice old house and were hit with the musty smell, almost walked out. Wish we had after all food served to us was lukewarm and tasteless. Pom frittes cold, flat-iron steak lukewarm, asparagus soup was lukewarm, dinner rolls were definitely old and stale. Will not waste another 60 dollars for lunch!

Taken here for lunch by our friends we surprised, wow, what a beautiful place, the restaurant/service/surrounds were fantastic! It's a long time since I have been blown away by a restaurant, Green Pastures is a must visit, I was stunned at the value as well so much less $$$ than I thought it was going to be. It has several... Situated on a property off-set from the street and bordered by bamboo and white picket fencing, Green Pastures is a beautiful plantation-style setting with an "eclectic Southern" menu. This year did not disappoint! The main dining room is bright and light with the other dining areas being more subdued and quiet. The menu had lots of small bites (split pea... More

An outdoor wedding with bamboo, live oaks and Japanese lanterns in the trees brought us to Austin. Picture perfect with delicious food, romantic atmosphere and PEACOCKS!!!!! Lots of romantic nooks and a beautiful rose garden. The appetizers were amazing!

Wearrived and were told we could sit where we wanted. The waitress came as soon as we were seated and took our drink order and pointed out the specials. Two of us opted for barbecue and the other for the luncheion chicken fried steak. The food was served in a reasonable amount of time. It was hot and the three... More

Their Sunday brunch is the best I've had in Austin. And, Austin has a lot of great brunches. It's a bit pricey but worth it. Try the Milk Punch!

Very unique selection at brunch, l especially liked the seared tuna, wedge salad, and pork loin. Desserts were exceptional, and well represented at the buffett. The high point, a signature bourbon and ice cream coctail on the buffet. Not inexpensive, but market value for any well done Sunday brunch.

I always enjoy a visit to to Green Patures. The big, old white house and grounds are lovely. The big flock of peacocks provide the "welcoming party." Sunday brunch is a real treat. Although it is not inexpensive, it does include lots of good bourbon milk punch and a huge variety of dishes. I have been there for dinner, lunch,... More
