Yes, the Teppanyaki steak is similar to Benihana (which I like), but the prices here are very reasonable and I would say the flavor even surpasses Benihana is some regards. Highly recommended.

We visited here whilst staying at our daughters in Austin. The atmosphere was good and the food cooked in front of us on the hot plate was excellent and plenty of it and very good quality

Went for New Year's Eve. Despite the fact they were very busy, the staff was friendly and attentive. Typical habachi style dining but really enjoyed the company of strangers who became fast friends. Food was fresh and well prepared. I had the Filet and Scallops and both were very tasty. Great selection of Japanese beers, Saki, and plum wine. Plan... More

Our party of 10 ate at Fujiyama's in Austin on May 9. I was really impressed. Our chef, Jose, was wonderful and very accommodating with a large group. The food was delicious and Jose was a skilled chef and showman. Great experience and I would definitely go back if I'm ever in Austin again.

Overall - Very good, non-pretentious service - Food is delivered quickly and is well-presented - Not expensive - Fresh and consistent - Would come back I've only been to the sushi side as I've done the hibachi and teppanyaki at other places multiple times. The host, server, and others are very prompt and treat you well, although they may "over-serve"... More

My wife and I come here from time to time. We like to sit on the sushi side of the resturant and always get good service and food.

They have a sushi HH...it is not really anything special...we ordered off the HH menu. Service was friendly and prompt. But, like I said, it was OK. Spent $65 and was still hungry. ;-(

If you love the other "B" place that shut down in Austin, then you will like this teppanyaki even more. The service is great! The food is excellent! The entertainment from the chef is fun! I'm all about saving a buck so we always go for lunch and have hibachi lunch combos, which come with iced tea. You can order... More

To be honest, I always go to the sushi side of the restaurant, but the hibachi side does a brisk business and folks look happy. I love to go either with a friend after yoga or on my own to treat myself after a long week at work. The restaurant is divided into two sides, so that if you want... More

Just like Benihana, with a harder name.
