Nice local Japanese

Came in a couple of times as it was close to my hotel - great for quick and easy meal - quality was good - loved the sushi. It's split into two halves - if you want the big show of the hibachi grill that's the other side - but on my own the table service or bar was fine

We love the Hibachi Restaurants. The whole experience is not just a meal, it is the entertainment as well. A good Hibachi Chef will thrill with his knife & spatula skills & tricks. Fujiyama has a great staff that achieves this. The filet was cooked a perfect rare as ordered & was paired with sautéed vegetables & fried rice. Soup... More

Our party of 6 had hibachi, hibachi shrimp, and calamari. You choose between soup and salad. The salad dressing is a light dressing made w/fresh ginger, which is well done for the type with a fresh and interesting flavor. The salad is romaine lettuce, some carrot, a little red cabbage and 1/2 of a grape tomato. If you order fried... More

This is the first hibachi grill either myself or my husband have ever been to that charges extra for fried rice and makes you choose between soup and salad at the start! Our dinner ended up costing over $70 and all we had was the grill, a spicy tuna roll to split and a beer each!! The food was ok... More

We had (3) rolls: Crunch, Tropical and Shrimp. They were all excellent. The service was very good, it was just across 183 from our hotel, and it was moderately priced. Definitely will visit again when we are in the area.

Yes, the Teppanyaki steak is similar to Benihana (which I like), but the prices here are very reasonable and I would say the flavor even surpasses Benihana is some regards. Highly recommended.

We visited here whilst staying at our daughters in Austin. The atmosphere was good and the food cooked in front of us on the hot plate was excellent and plenty of it and very good quality

Went for New Year's Eve. Despite the fact they were very busy, the staff was friendly and attentive. Typical habachi style dining but really enjoyed the company of strangers who became fast friends. Food was fresh and well prepared. I had the Filet and Scallops and both were very tasty. Great selection of Japanese beers, Saki, and plum wine. Plan... More

Our party of 10 ate at Fujiyama's in Austin on May 9. I was really impressed. Our chef, Jose, was wonderful and very accommodating with a large group. The food was delicious and Jose was a skilled chef and showman. Great experience and I would definitely go back if I'm ever in Austin again.

Overall - Very good, non-pretentious service - Food is delivered quickly and is well-presented - Not expensive - Fresh and consistent - Would come back I've only been to the sushi side as I've done the hibachi and teppanyaki at other places multiple times. The host, server, and others are very prompt and treat you well, although they may "over-serve"... More
