Good food and service. The fried oysters with okra are great. Can be crowded. Do not get on the owner's email list unless you want frequent lame jokes.

Cypress Grill in South Austin is one of my favorite places to dine here. The staff 's friendly and the food is great, though I admit I order the same thing every singe time-Shrimp Pasta Rockefeller! I always have enough left to take some home. Besides, there is that dessert, Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie, waiting in the wings. It's serious... More

This place is great! Met up with friends and we all had an awesome time. The food was very good. Had the seafood gumbo, which had the right amount of spice. Just a little kick to it. The shrimp was the best. On Tuesday's they have a shrimp special where you have a choice of blacken, fried, or grilled. All... More

We eat at the Cypress Grill a couple of times a month. The food is unfailingly excellent, and we love the cozy neighborhood ambiance. Service is unobtrusive and generally quite good. Everything on the menu is good, but we especially like the atchafalaya catfish, the etouffee, and the gumbo. Highly recommended.

I had heard some good things about it so before going with my wife for dinner I went by myself for lunch. I ordered the Barbecued Shrimp with the corn maque choux. It arrived pretty quickly and the sauce was an appealing color. It's served with french bread that they don't bother to accompany with butter or toast. They also... More

In a small shopping center near Wm Cannon & Mopac kies one of the best kept secrets in Austin. The Greek theme with incredible VERY reasonably priced seafood and brunch entrees just blew us away. The menu selection had something for everyone, the service was attentive and fast, the ambience was cozy and friendly and the food and preparation was... More

Visiting my family in Austin, my grandaughter told me that there was a restaurant with, "the best pancakes in the world." Five of us went for breakfast and she was right. The breakfast was delicious, the pancakes were great and the service was excellent. We'll definitely try therr dinner next time we visit.

Don't be put off by the strip mall location. We dine at Cypress Grill frequently. It's fun, rather noisy, food is consistently good, service is quick, prices are very reasonable. There has yet to be one time that we have been there when almost every table is filled. Love the blackened catfish plate, red beans and rice with sausage. Crabcakes... More
