Excellent!

I am from south Louisiana, though I've lived in Texas for 25 years. Every now and then, I get a craving for a good po-boy. There are three Creole/Cajun restaurants close to where I live. I've tried them all. My favorite by far is Cypress Grill. When I get that craving for a po-boy, that's... read more

Found this restaurant on Open Table and close to our hotel in SW Austin. It's in a strip center, poor acoustics and comfort. But the food and drinks were good, fresh gulf shrimp, crawfish, seafood gumbo. The bread pudding was outstanding!!! If ambiance better I'd have rated it with an extra star.

Loved their cocktail menu more than their food. They offer high end scotch selection and craft cocktail creations that I was dying to try. Brunch offered a grapefruit ruby red vodka with champagne that was very good. We split a eggs benedict style dish with crayfish etoufee. The english muffin could have been more toasted but other than that, delish.... More

We had a decent meal here for lunch, it was good, but not exciting enough to return soon. For my taste the food was a bit on the bland side. Service was acceptable. Prices felt a bit on the high side for the food and service.

We have been eating here for years! It just keeps getting better and better! The p'boys are fantastic and toasted perfectly. I hate salads but I really like theirs. Try the catfish and cole slaw. What a treat. Best seat in the house is at the bar.

Was taken here by family. Drove up to the shopping center and didn't know what to think. Wow, was I surprised. Blackened catfish, crawfish, and shrimp were ordered. Everything was spot on and the service was impeccable. If you are in south Austin, this is the place.

This was my first time in Austin and I really wanted Crawfish. I am from Port Arthur, Texas and we have great crawfish so I'm always nervous about eating crawfish any where else.Cypress Grill did not disappoint me. They make their own season and soda. The food was AMAZING!!

Do not be dismayed that this restaurant is located in a strip mall! They put out delicious Cajun food, have a great brunch (see the menu I posted) and provide good, efficient service. We ate there last Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Bloody Mary was very spicy, even without their optional added "heat". We ordered the oysters Benedict,... More

I have probably had more meals at Cypress Grill than any other restaurant in Austin. I use to go here weekly with a group of dads. I have tried many things on the menu, but find it hard to try new things because my standard selections are so good. - Fried Catfish - simply the best I have ever had... More

Cypress grill always delivers! I had Chicken Tejano - bacon-wrapped chicken breast was moist and tender. My husband had a muffletta - a half was huge - and delicious. The food is always delicious.
