My friend had a coupon for this restaurant, so we met for lunch. I'm from the Galveston area originally, so good seafood is always a good option for me. The environment is decent enough, but very noisy. It was crowded (Saturday around 11:00 am), but they have a quieter area just behind some glass and in front of what looks... More

The beer was cold. That was the only positive thing about our experience. We came in after the lunch rush hoping to get a quick meal. My wife ordered the New Orleans Barbequed Shrimp and I ordered Fried Oysters. It took a good 40 minutes to get the meals and the restaurant was close to empty.

we were expecting cajun food and hospitality. the portions were small and not even close to cajun. we had to call our waiter to take our orders. In short, we left the place still hungry.

The best day is Thursday when Kay is running the Baez. Many regulars are there then and she is an expert on the food available that day. The best seats in the house are at the bar on that day. See you there!

Been here a few times with family including tots. The food has always been good, though the weekend brunch generally is best. Portions are generous and there are plenty of Cajun selections as well as a good kids menu. It's a strip mall so as you would expect not exactly atmospheric. Interesting art on the walls though. Good value.

I am from south Louisiana, though I've lived in Texas for 25 years. Every now and then, I get a craving for a good po-boy. There are three Creole/Cajun restaurants close to where I live. I've tried them all. My favorite by far is Cypress Grill. When I get that craving for a po-boy, that's where I go. The most... More

Found this restaurant on Open Table and close to our hotel in SW Austin. It's in a strip center, poor acoustics and comfort. But the food and drinks were good, fresh gulf shrimp, crawfish, seafood gumbo. The bread pudding was outstanding!!! If ambiance better I'd have rated it with an extra star.
