The food at this restaurant is consistently good. Unfortunately like other restaurants in Austin, it has a problem hiring and keeping good servers. We had to wait quite awhile for our server to come to our table and also to finalize the bill. I wish Austin didn't have such a shortage of servers.

This is a quaint little restaurant that serves the most delicious food, would go back here everyday it I could.

I celebrated an event here with a friend. We were hungry and had planned for this. The restaurant was not busy on this weeknight and we were greeted and seated immediately. The server was pleasant and very efficient. He was downright perfect in timing. We both ordered a side salad as the '1 side' for our entrees. My salad was... More

My boyfriend likes this place way more than I do. He eats there once a week at least. It's good if you like Cajun. Nothing particularly outstanding, but good, straigh-forward Cajun-style food.

It's fun to eat at this neighborhood diner. The band was good and not too loud. The waiter was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the fare. The food is reliably good and there are menu items for non-fish eaters. Chicken can be substituted for the chicken-fried-steak.

I cannot claim to be an expert on Cajun food, but Cypress Grill came as a delicious surprise to find buried in a strip mall. The food is delicious, with a spice and flavor that I find outstanding without being overbearing, and the portions are generous without prices being too high. I've only eaten here for lunch but it's been... More

Enjoyed a great lunch with a client while in Austin, the gumbo and quarter muffalata was perfect amount for lunch and both were full of flavor that reminded me of the years I spent in Nawlins. This is a small restaurant in a strip center, but it is very worth seeking out.

I grew up in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, including many years at LSU so my standards for cajun cuisine are very high. Cypress Grill is, no doubt, the best cajun restaurant in Austin. The gumbo is great with a nice dark roux. The Catfish Atchafalaya is a favorite, but I'm pretty sure there are no bad options on the... More

As the title would imply, this is a little hole in the wall place in a strip center in southwest Austin. We found it a few trips ago, but we had not been able to squeeze it into our schedule on the last few trips. However, we had dinner there on this last trip. If you are looking for pomp... More
