Choosing What to Have Is So Difficult

I have probably had more meals at Cypress Grill than any other restaurant in Austin. I use to go here weekly with a group of dads. I have tried many things on the menu, but find it hard to try new things because my standard selections are so good. - Fried Catfish - simply the best I have ever... read more

Cypress grill always delivers! I had Chicken Tejano - bacon-wrapped chicken breast was moist and tender. My husband had a muffletta - a half was huge - and delicious. The food is always delicious.

Coming from the New Orleans area, I was pleased to find Cypress Grill. The Pot Roast poboy is one of my favorites (also the Pot Roast plate). The Shrimp poboy is good too. I am not sure if they still do use the same french bread but when I started going to Cypress Grill they brought in french bread from... More

We have been going for years to Cypress Grill and it is wonderful. Don't worry about trying to compare it to other places and come up with is it better than those or not. Their awards speak volumes. However, the best thing is the simple pleasant atmosphere where I love ordering new and old items. Enjoy!

I didn't know what to expect when a friend suggested we do Saturday brunch at the Cypress Grill - I was expecting something rather upscale, as I hadn't looked at the prices, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this small restaurant in a busy strip center in Austin. We had called ahead for reservations, which looking back... More

The food at this restaurant is consistently good. Unfortunately like other restaurants in Austin, it has a problem hiring and keeping good servers. We had to wait quite awhile for our server to come to our table and also to finalize the bill. I wish Austin didn't have such a shortage of servers.

I celebrated an event here with a friend. We were hungry and had planned for this. The restaurant was not busy on this weeknight and we were greeted and seated immediately. The server was pleasant and very efficient. He was downright perfect in timing. We both ordered a side salad as the '1 side' for our entrees. My salad was... More

My boyfriend likes this place way more than I do. He eats there once a week at least. It's good if you like Cajun. Nothing particularly outstanding, but good, straigh-forward Cajun-style food.

It's fun to eat at this neighborhood diner. The band was good and not too loud. The waiter was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the fare. The food is reliably good and there are menu items for non-fish eaters. Chicken can be substituted for the chicken-fried-steak.
