Good Food

This was my first visit to 888. It was highly recommended by a friend. Now, when it comes to Asian food I'm very picky so my expectations were not real high. I ordered the Chicken Cashew. The serving size is large. It was a delicious, spicy dish so I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken ratio was... read more

The beef brisket soup was delicious on a cool day in Austin. Chicken soup not so good. Fresh basil and bean sprouts were served with the soups but arrived late. The dry soups on noodles with mushrooms were also first rate. Pulled pork sandwich was also flavorful. This appears to be a family restaurant that easily handles parties of 6-8.... More

I went to this place on a chance. I had nears from friends of mine that this place had a bad smell and some nasty things in some of their dishes. Well I guess my friends were wrong, or they may have just ordered something they weren't supposed to. This is my 4th time visiting this place and it was... More

Very good pho with quick service and an extensive menu if you like other Asian foods as well. They have a buffet but since I'm not a big fan of the food on it, I haven't had it but it is pretty popular. Second best broth in town, my favorite place is up north, and 888 is very, very good!... More

Been wanting to come here since our church's college kids rave about this place but because its so far south, we never really ventured down here. But this Monday because its en route to the airport we got to pop in for a quick lunch and I was thrilled to finally try it. Confusing it with the old Wan Fu,... More

The food is good and the menu is very diverse. The best thing about 888 is the price. Very affordable. Usually crowded because of its popularity.

Worst Vietnamese I've ever had in Austin. Too much sauce full of sugar and msg...even though I asked to have it omitted. My dinner wax so sweet I couldn't eat it. I will not be back...ever!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Austin. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, good ambiance and excellent food! The portions are huge and everything was delicious. We tried the ginger duck, the green curry, the Mongolian beef and general chicken and everything was great. It was also an excellent value for the... More

Fantastic food, excellent service, super short wait times. Probably the best Orange Chicken I've ever had. Extremely varied menu; something for everyone. Plus they're open late!! Definitely the place to go for Asian food.

Went here for a birthday dinner here with 6 people - place was busy but we got a table quickly. Menu offers lots of variety and large portions, so we ordered different things to share. All the food was great, except the mango rice-- which was a pale shadow of mango rice that I have enjoyed elsewhere. The lamb and... More
