Honey I'm Home

I loved it. Simply put, I thought it was fabulous. We had a round of drinks, drank the salsa out of the bowl, and licked the quest dip off the plates. For balance, I haven't gone to the other top Mexican food spots on Austin so I don't know how it compares. But I will forgo those options every... read more

Simply put, do not have high expectations for the food when you eat here. We were not impressed at all! Our fajitas were cold, the server was clueless, & everything was overpriced in comparison to the quality of the food. We will not return.

The waiting service was pretty normal, not excellent by any means, but nothing detrimental. We sat on the outdoor patio and the surrounding atmosphere was very lively and fun, so although we waited a while for the food, and drinks, we didn't seem to. Chips salsa and queso were pretty darn good, and the group I was with all seemed... More

We were seated and waited 10 minutes for a service to offer us drinks. It was so awkward that we thought of leaving. On glad we didn't because the food was good. So if you are not fussy about fast service, give Curra's a try.

The food was delicious and it came to us very quickly. We got the taco carnitas plate and we were not disappointed. Check this place out!

Curra's Grill was referred to us by our local Uber driver so we decided to try it. Curra's is more of a local restaurant instead of a tourist restaurant which is what we were looking for. The food was good, I would not say great but good. The price for what we received was very reasonable. The avocado margarita was... More

6 people foe dinner, 2 children. Good Quesco. We had margaritas, which were refreshing. 2 of use had the Carnitas dinner, and they were the best carnitas I have ever had. Tres Leches cake was very good.

This place has a high opinion of itself, to say the least. Big marquee emblazoned on the front "The Mother of All 'Mex"". Not even. Firstly, they had no barbacoa. Every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to has barbacoa. Except this one. They had no chicharrones, either, but not all do, so that was acceptable. The only one of my... More

We came because my friend was told they had great ceviche. I don't eat seafood but they told me it was just okay.... nothing to write home about. At first I enjoyed the chips. They serve them warm. however, I started getting some chips that tasted stale and old. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't... More

Curra's is not your typical mexican (read: tex-mex) restaurant. It specializes in interior Mexican cuisine. The menu is interesting and diverse, and the food is excellent. The drink menu is also interesting, and I tried the cucumber margarita. Wow! Food was very inexpensive, particularly considering the quality. Also of note - the conchita pibil, a pork leg steamed in a... More
