A dive but the hamburgers are amazing!

If you forget your flashlight - it's very dark in this hideout - just order the hideout burger. It's delicious.

We went to The Hideout for a pastry and coffee every morning on our long weekend to Austin. Good coffee, good pastries (I love the cinnamon "muffin"), and awesome atmosphere. Cozy, a bit eclectic, and super friendly.

Known for the great coffee, but don't miss the breakfast tacos that are kept warm in crock pots on the counter in the morning. Very fresh and really good.

25 minutes to serve three people. The owner came into the restaurant saw the inefficiency, turned around and went back to the office. And the blueberry muffins were truly awful. Time to shave again.

I had a small "café americano" and paid $2 with tax. At was better than the chain store across the street. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt service, and good location. I really had no reason to complain about anything.

Typical boutique coffeehouse connected/adjacent to a comedy club/theater. Typical selection for a light breakfast: pastries and bagels. Very nice baristas, but careful they're way more of a hipster than you.

the Hideout was a nice niche for breakfast & coffee! I ate a spinach/egg/cheese 'taco' which was good. reasonably priced, brought my coffee in from somewhere else not knowing i'd find a coffee place close!

After walking around the Capitol, we decided to head downtown. Being coffee lovers, we stepped into this little shop on the way. It was great. The service was perfect and the coffee was quite tasty. They also have a decent selection of beers if you're in the mood for a depressant instead of a stimulant. I would definitely go back.... More

Based off TA reviews, I was excited to drop in and pick up some caffeine while my husband finished work back at the hotel. To be fair, I did not order coffee. I ordered a chai tea latte, which tasted like steamed water and milk. Yucky. If you want to be a quirky, well-loved coffee shop, you have to make... More
