Uchi has classic dishes they've developed through the years and are also constantly introducing new quality offerings. One can try an amazing amount of super quality ingredients which are blended together in perfect harmony!

Uchi is probably my favorite sushi restaurant ever! It took a long time to get reservations, but I understand why after just one visit. Besides the excellent service, it is the best high-end creative sushi dishes you can find in Austin. With full disclosure, I have to admit I have not been to the sister restaurant, Uchiko, which I understand... More

On a Wednesday night we were seated right away without reservations! What a nice surprise to not have to wait! It was as wonderful as I was told! Will go back again the next time I am in Austin. Only thing I disliked was that I had an amazing glass of wine recommended by the server and asked him to... More

Have been hearing rave reviews and had to try it. Uchi is a bit over rated but very good. One dish was disappointing and was left mostly untouched. Most everything else we ordered was memorable and delicious. The experience was pleasant, the service was good and I would go back. Overall worth it.

Top notch food and service. I've been here on several occasions and my experience is always exceptional. I love the brussels sprouts and cauliflower. The Zero Sen roll is one of my favorites! A must for any foodies or someone wanting an exceptional dining experience.

Took our 3 teenage daughters here Thanksgiving week - 1 sushi lover, 2 others not so much -all 3 loved Uchi. Interesting menu, wide variety, beautiful layers of flavors. We went during "Social Hour"(their version of Happy Hour) - great opportunity to experiment with many different offerings at very reasonable prices. Don't miss the brussel sprouts - outstanding. Very cool... More

I've eaten at this restaurant once and while it is a good take on fusion sushi, I found it overpriced, loud, and not worthy of "best restaurant in Austin". For example, the rice ice cream was very bland and gross. When you're paying this much money for the #1 rated restaurant on TA, everything must be flawless and it wasn't.

I admit that I don't eat here often as I prefer Uchiko for the ambience. Uchi is way too LOUD! But the food is delicious, creative, and fresh. The wait staff is knowledgeable and prompt. The people-watching is first rate.
