Went for happy hour with a group. The food was wonderful, but even during HH the prices were extremely high. If you're new in town and price is no object, definitely treat yourself to some very elegant, authentic Asian food.

This sushi was amazing! I got a daily special roll which was great but the Shag roll was mind-blowing. Everything was wonderful. I can't wait to come back here when I'm in town next.

Anyone who has read my restaurant reviews knows I am not easily impressed. There are not enough superlatives to describe this place. I've never had the quality or variety of sushi and sashimi as offered here. The presentations are artistic and the freshness and flavor matchings on spot. I usually don't like scallops but these thinly sliced diver variety cooked... More

We go here frequently. The atmosphere is wonderful, the location is great, and the food is to die for. I love sushi but this is hands down the best sushi. Not cheap. At all. But worth it for the experience!

I visit Austin frequently and try to get to this restaurant as I love sushi. Food is always fresh and in a very short time it got so loud (by 5:45!) that everyone was yelling at each other. Then service became a little slow due to the volume of stuff the kitchen was putting out. Its not cheap but you... More

When you are hyped on a restaurant so much, it rarely meets up to your expectations, but this far exceeded our expectations. I had previously tried the location in Houston, and it was amazing, but I've been wanting to try the original location, and can't rave about it enough. I've eaten at some of the best sushi places in New... More

Walking into this restaurant, the atmosphere Is lively and one can tell that this location is a hot spot for locals. I only had one roll which was phenomenal. Pitchfork. A steak sushi roll with ill shavings of fried onion on top and a sauce that was drizzled onto the plate was absolutely delish. The size of the rolls were... More

7th year in Austin for SXSW but first time at Uchi and I've been missing out! Amazing flavors and the freshest, highest quality ingredients. You need no seasoning at all. This place is a winner. Patio has drink service and we even got a couple free snacks they were passing while we waited. A great experience!

This a must visit place for anyone living in or traveling to Austin. Always consistently fabulous food and service. Do not be afraid to speak up if a suggestion does not tempt you -- your server will find something you will find enjoyable.
