Great Tex-mex option near Barton Springs pool

We stopped here on our way back from Barton Springs pool. From the look of most of the customers, it appears at least half also came from the pool. Excellent selection of Tex-Mex dishes. I had the special which was tasty and not too spicy. Great restaurant for families and large groups. The... read more

Hadn't been to Texas in many years, and went with our daughter and son-in-law the night of the big storm. Not a long wait -- about a half hour -- but worth it for the queso, quesadillas, tacos, and fajitas. Good margaritas too! Very casual, tasty, and reasonable.

Everybody knows Chuy's is a great place to eat, but we ordered chicken and beef fajitas, with rice, beans and tortillas, as take-out food for a graduation party, and it was a huge success. One warning - the beans and rice may disappear early, so you'd better order extra. The chicken and beef are tender, tasty, and juicy, and the... More

I have been to Chuy's many times throughout the years and have always loved it. However, at this location the food was very bland and quite a let down.

Went to Chuy's yesterday to have Mother's day a day early. A Mexican food restaurant in Webster. To beat the crowds. Went there one time before and the food was great. BUT this time there was a bad issue. Felipe came down food poisoning a few hours later. Everything Felipe and my had that day was the same but for... More

We stayed in an area close by and happened across Chuy's on a walk. We decided to go in for a margarita and a snack. One of the best margaritas ever, I had lime on the rocks with a prickly pear topper. Everything was so good we went back a couple evenings later for dinner. The special was deep fried... More

May not be the best ( top 5 definitely though )Tex-Mex food ever but combined with the atmosphere it's a great fun place to get a great meal. Also, creamy jalapeno is highly addictive. The beef in the beef fajitas is like butter, very tender full of flavor and juicy. Usually go to the location at 183 and Duval, great... More

Chuy's - it's an institution. Is it the best tex-mex you will ever have? Probably not- but it's so comfortable. The creamy jalapeno. And the chalupas are quite good. If you have never tried a Texas Martini there- do it at least once. The staff here is super friendly - they do get PACKED though- so either go early or... More

I spent 48hrs exploring Austin and my bus tour stopped right by the restaurant on 'restaurant row'. I loved Mexican food so thought I would check it out. From the outside it looks slightly 'run down' but inside it was a large clean restaurant. The staff are very friendly, happy and polite. I got chips and pico on my table... More
