Great Tex-Mex

The avacado ranch sauce is addicting. We love the fajitas. They have the best margaritas. The kids love their cheese quesadillas. The chips and salsa are awesome too.

My sister, niece and I went here when I was visiting them in Austin. It was a late dinner (8 which is late for us) but we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The restaurant is very busy, colorfully decorated and quite loud. I guess that all contributes to the atmosphere. I'd say the service was a bit... More

I love this place. Just love it. One of the best all-around mexican restaurants out there. I heard they're bringing one to Columbus which I am very excited about.

I was directed to this dining experience by a fellow passenger. It didn't disappoint. The best chili relenos I've ever had. Fried to perfection but still crisp pepper. It was super super crowded but I found a seat at the bar. The bartender despite being crazy busy made time to make my experience a great one. Worth the trip

A very busy place - call ahead if you can. Fun, bustling environment with great decorations. Really good food including a surprising variety of choose-your-own sauces. Thoroughly enjoyed their chips and salsa - all homemade, we were told. Our server Ashleigh was very helpful and accommodating, tending to all of our needs in a timely fashion. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Went to this true original location twice on a recent visit. The food was great, love the guac. The cocktails delicious and the staff was welcoming knowledgable and fun. If you are in Austin go here!

Always count on Chuys for the cold beer, margaritas and mexican food that never disappoints. The original location with its Elvis bar and pescados....guaranteed to keep you coming back. I love the queso and chip bar - all you can eat. What a deal.

You probably have to know a local (we do) or read TripAdvisor to even know about Chuy's. It is not the sort of place that you'd probably visit based on its streetscape alone. And what a mistake it would be not to visit Chuy's. The food is just great, great, great. Especially for someone who hasn't had TexMex before! But... More

We eat at Chuys almost every week in our home town--Little Rock, AR My fave after the Margaritas and cheese dip is the Taco salad with fajita beef. My husband loves the Elvis Presley chicken breaded in potato chips Be sure to try the creamy jalapeño dip/dressing

An absolute MUST try when in Austin! We tried the location near Barton springs. Looks like a dive on the outside but inside it was brightly decorated with hubcaps on the ceiling and old license plates and car bumpers on the walls. Lots to look at lots of great food to choose from. Whatever you do make sure to get... More
