Our party of three visited on a July Wednesday for lunch. We were seated immediately. The menu has Tex-Mex standards, but also some nice twists on the expected. The free (refillable) chips and salsa were very good. We ordered queso to go with it (we had the one that comes with ground beef) and it was so good, we had... More

After visiting the LBJ ranch, we detoured on purpose just to eat at the "original" Chuy's. I am so glad we did! Yes, Chuy's is a chain, but this location where the chain began was just delicious. An added bonus was the Happy Hour drink prices, and a delicious serve yourself chips and salsa bar. We recently ate at Chuy's... More

Chuy's is an Austin Staple for both locals and visitors. Always ask for Creamy Jalapeno dip when they bring your chips. Rita's are fantastic and don't leave without a Tee Shirt. Peak times the wait is long but worth the effort.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! I would definitely come back. Try the burrito with the deluxe tomatillo sauce!

This Chuys is close to Barton Springs and it was packed! They handled the crowd quite well. We had a 20 minute wait so decided to try a margarita. A very wise decision. It made up for some of the food choices

We stopped by during happy hour and were surprised to find out they have a complimentary nachos bar with cheese, meat, salsa, guacamole, sour cream...the food was good and it was served pretty fast. The only thing we didn't like is that there were a few pesky flies annoying us as we are.

We thought we needed some Tex-Mex before we leave on a trip to the northeast. I've always heard of Chuy's but never been--in spite of many visits to ATX! It was so yummy!!! The creamy jalapeño dip was excellent. I had the Monday night special--blanco chicken enchiladas with green chile rice. So good!

I started hanging out here while in grqduate school at UT when the original Chuy's opened in 1982. The company has grown by leaps and bounds, but none of the other outlets have the panache that this original spot does. Returned here after a number of years and it is still great. We had the Appetizer Platter, FIsh Tacos, and... More
