We stopped in on the way to the airport, they were having the Hatch Chile week specials, so tried the chile rellenos and the enchilada, both excellent, along with some interesting tequila martinis. Very good service, terrific food, a bargain!

This is the first Chuy's in the country! It is authentic and delicious! The decor is fun and 'weird' like Austin! The staff is fun and friendly too! Prices are average for Austin.

We had high expectations for this place, but they were not met. The restaurant could really take a few tables out of the dining room because it's a little too close for comfort. The food was just okay and it's really not a place that I would visit again.

Was looking for somewhere to eat near the club we were headed to and decided to check out Chuy's. Place was hopping on a Monday night around 7:00, very busy, but we were seated immediately. The nacho chips and salsa were outstanding and the waiter was personable. Told him I was "hungry" and he recommended the "Elvis Platter"...3 enchiladas, taco,... More

The food is on par with your typical tex-mex place. Lots of cilantro in their salsa. I love cilantro, so that's a good thing. We had nachos, margaritas, sopapillas, and the tres leches cake. Honestly, I wasn't super impressed with the food and drinks, and with a typical 45-minute wait time, I would have preferred the food to be outstanding....... More

Predictable? Yep. If you want a consistently excellent meal, this is your place. Always ask for the creamy jalapeño dip and take in the ambiance that is the original, where all other Chuy's came from...you won't be disappointed.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday and the place was packed. Goes to show how popular this place is with the locals. The waiter brought out multiple baskets of nachos and dips and kept refilling the nachos, dips and water even before we needed to ask. We tried their Chuychangas and the portion sizes were huge. We had to... More

This is the original Chuys restaurant. Lots of options ranging from mild to spicy hot Mexican food. The creamy jalapeño dip is a must with the corn chips. The tacos, burritos and enchiladas are excellent and if you can't make up your mind have one of the combo meals. This place was packed but had a very nice atmosphere.

The place was packed, but we had seats for waiting and it went quick. Wait staff was nice and friendly (like everyone in Texas). Chips and salsas after we ordered were really good - I had to keep reminding myself I was there for dinner. I had the Chili Relleno and it was great - the only sad part was... More

Festive atmosphere, a little on the noisy side, lots of 1950's decor, prompt & friendly service, yummy food & drinks. What more can you ask for?
