I recently had the pleasure of eating at this well-known Mexican restaurant in Austin. We had a short (<10 min.) wait for a table, which was happily spent imbibing on an wonderful margarita in the bar seating area. Our server, Rachel K. was friendly, fast, attentive, and professional. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find several dishes on the... More

This is the first place my daughter who lives in Brooklyn goes to straight from the airport. The food is consistently delicious. Very reasonable prices and service is fast and friendly. I have never had a bad meal there and I've been going since the original opened on Barton Springs. Happy hour has free queso with meat and pico. Perfect... More

Great place for families with kids, fantastic atmosphere. Huge portions and all the food was really good. I can't believe how much I ate!

When a restaurant is busy this typically means it is very good food, and we couldn't agree more. No one on our table was disappointed with their selection, and given the amount of people, the food came fairly quickly and was reasonably priced. The only negative is the noise level. Definitely difficult to have a conversation, or at least one... More

I stopped here on my "walk" along the Ladybird trail from downtown to Barton Springs. I was starving! Had to get a margarita, which was tasty. I wanted the frito pie, but I got shrimp tacos. They were pretty good. The breading on the shrimp was a little bitter. I'd probably try something different next time. I think the beans... More

Noticed the full parking lot at lunch time - good sign! We were not disappointed. Great food, great service, locals and visitors, eclectic feel...Austin iconic. What else can I say? Yes...you should eat here if you want some good Tex Mex!

My wife and I have been to Chuy's in SW Austin many times. Usually we stick to our favorites...Chick-a-chick-a Boom Boom or the fried shrimp tacos(excellent). This time I tried the tacos al carbon. They were disappointing. I have had better at several other places in town. My had the special that day, chicken enchiladas with green sauce. She like... More

Loved the food! I am from Austin and really love tex mex. The service was very good. They got us in and out very quickly. The fajitas are to die for. I ate entirely to much. The queso taste homemade as well as the chips. I will return. I have had the food catered as well as being on site... More

Really busy fun place. It's good solid tex mex, not fine dining but really good food. Service was very fast and friendly, good margaritas while we waited for our table. We sat outside under the heaters which was nice.

I loved everythinig in Austin with all my heart, but most of all, I miss the food. My favourite meal was at Chuy's. I often tell my partner that I want Chuy's for dinner when we can't decide on something to eat. I wish there was one in Ontario!
